  1. Reciprocal doesn’t mean you can just play there as much as you want. You have the option to play there on certain days, but you have to pay to play.
  2. He’s an underage key tall playing a year above. Wouldn’t be worried about him making it until he plays the U18 carnival next year in his own age group.
  3. Not sure what the point of dropping Brown was, unless they’ve told him and Woey they plan to rotate them as subs so they can continue getting some full games at Casey. Surely if Fritsch has another stinker his spot has to come into question though.
  4. It's not really stealth, we all know about it!
  5. The only way we can win this game is to turn it into an absolute slog. If it is a shootout the Lions will easily outscore us. We need to be at our defensive best to have a chance. Not confident, but sometimes it's nice just watching the footy with no expectations!
  6. Just out of contract. Former pick 28, so doubt they will get much more than a 3rd rounder if he wants to leave.
  7. Would definitely give him another 12 months if he wanted to go on. We will have a decent amount of turnover this year anyway with likely/confirmed departures of: Brayshaw, Smith, Schache, Tomlinson, Brown & Hunter. That would be 6 players we have to replace and we usually take 2-3 players at the draft.
  8. Wouldn't bother responding to him/her.... probably the most negative poster on here, which is saying something given the stuff you see!
  9. It was great to see Clarry in the recent video on the website having fun and looking really healthy and happy. I am very confident Clarry will get back to his best at some point, either late this year but if not I expect him to really explode next year.
  10. Wouldn’t expect anything less from their supporters.
  11. 6 years is a lot for Josh Battle. Good player, but he’s no Weitering/Sam Taylor
  12. I think all the talk of retirement etc is very premature. It's still very raw for him and he's obviously still recovering. I'm very hopefully he will be back ready to go for round 1.
  13. The idea that our under 22 talent isn't any good is ridiculous. If they weren't any good we wouldn't win any games. Terrible take George. Also people, injury issues permitting Trac, Salem, Oliver, Lever, Langdon, Fritsch have a good 5-6 years left. We don't have to think about replacing them for a long time. Yes, Gawn and May are obviously nearing the end in probably 2 years, however we can use trade a FA to replace them if we can't develop within. Stop worrying about replacing players, that's the list manager and recruiters job.
  14. Rather than go after a midfielder, could we look at someone like Harry Perryman as a Rivers replacement and make him a permanent midfielder? The other option would be Isaac Cumming who is also from the Giants.
  15. Good interview and great to hear he is doing ok. He seems very keen to get back out there once he has recovered and I can’t wait to see him down at the club!
  16. I'm pretty sure he came on after the 2012 draft, so wasn't involved in drafting Toumpas. Anyway don't want to get into revisionism about every draft, but I'm sure if we looked into it in detail he would be up there as one of the best draft talent spotters in the competition.
  17. And helped take one of the worst performing clubs in history to a premiership? The Weid over Curnow/McKay was his biggest miss. But he hasn't missed too often in that time.
  18. Please don't speak about JT that way..... bloke deserves a statue
  19. I think we are all onboard players who stage getting a fine.... only issue is I've seen countless players staging this year and they've got nothing and definitely no media pile on like this week. Nick Daicos did something identical and the only person to call him out was Kane Cornes. The media as a majority are as gutless as they come.
  20. I'd probably be looking at either the Power game or the Dogs game as a good one for a debut personally. Of course this assumes he keeps kicking goals in the VFL. He's now kicked 19.13 in 11 games this season and kicked 23.17 in 20 games last year, so as really increased his output.
  21. Is it just me, but I thought that Rivers goal was very 'Chad Warneresque'? He could be a genuine weapon as that high octane midfielder.
  22. Interesting that you have Whitlock going to us, noting the draft order will likely change anyway. He’s that 200cm ruck forward who is agile and good below his knees like a Luke Jackson. Will be interesting to see if he’s of interest to us.
  23. Good point I hadn’t thought of that. Would be silly to bring someone in from Casey off a 5 day break unless absolutely necessary.
  24. Correct. Had 8 tackles and a goal on the weekend.
  25. I'm assuming we lost on expected score
