  1. Agreed. I don't want May taking kick outs anymore as well, he has had quite a few howlers. Bowey, McVee, Salem & Rivers should be taking all kickouts
  2. McDonald will be stiff to miss!
  3. It did get him into the game more, but I feel it’s time he just focused on being the best full forward he can be. I also love the idea of a mature, physical back up ruck who can really throw his weight around. Johnson also seems very athletic, so I don’t think his lack of height will be a huge issue in the ruck.
  4. So you think Johnson could be there round 1?! My view on how the forward line needs to be structured is: 2 x key forwards who don't ruck other than a small amount in the F50 (Turner & JVR) 1x forward/ruck (Johnson or Fullarton) 1 x medium/tall (Fritsch or Jeffo) 3 x quicker smalls (pick between Pickett, Chandler, Tholstrup, Sharp, Spargo, K Brown)
  5. Keen to get your thoughts on the following: - Harry Sharp - do you think there's a best 22 spot available based on what you see at training? - Jed Adams - do you think he could come in a do a job if needed in 2025? - Tholstrup - is he another that will lock in a best 22 spot this year based on training? - Back up ruck - who at this stage do you think will be the second in game ruck? Please don't say JVR....
  6. I think all of our half back ‘runners’ should be working on this. Bowey, McVee, Windsor, Salem should always be ready to do this.
  7. Max needs to do this much more. So often he takes a great grab and then goes back and holds up play, only to do a loopy kick and turn it over. I love Maxy, but field kicking other than long down the line is not his go!
  8. Does Jed Adams look like he is improving?
  9. I’d go one further to let him know they all had very disparaging remarks in their scouting profiles… West Coast have been quoted as saying ‘he couldn’t hit the side of a barn’
  10. Some ruthless decisions need to be made, but bringing in absolute high end young talent is key.
  11. It feels stupid it’s limited to those specific regions… surely any nationality other than Australian should be considered. Wouldn’t we want to grow the game in many different potential nationalities? Especially when trying to compete with soccer and rugby.
  12. Give her a 5 year contract asap
  13. Thanks for the info! So does that mean he is available as an academy selection? Everyone is a little confused.
  14. Hopefully he signs on for a few more years, but wouldn’t surprise me if he did choose to go home either. Would be a lot more disappointed to lose McVee than Woey, but do like both. Things can change though, so let’s see what happens as the year progresses.
  15. Think he is training with the AFL academy
  16. Don't think so. Think it just means our key defender stocks are May, Mcdonald, Lever, Petty and Adams. Whoever is fit and inform will get a gig.
  17. I don't listen to anything Cornes says. Even if he is occasionally right, he is wrong the majority of the time and he knows full well he is just there to rile people up.
  18. Feels like since 2021 Fritsch has been consistently unable to complete full pre seasons
  19. Already sending them off for stud?
  20. Going off that article our side should be in a nursing home….
  21. Depth has really been increased. Poor old Max will be hoping for an injury to big Campbell
  22. I think they had Jagga higher
  23. Im guessing we may apply for a special consideration to list him as a Cat B rookie. Given the declining numbers of Aboriginal players in the afl you would think they should accept it… maybe…
