AFL turn a blind-eye, it’s still done today. I know of a couple of recently retired players who were ‘employees’ of large companies whilst playing and still are ‘employees’ even though they’ve never worked a day for that employer.

It’s a good question. After our disastrous 2019 season I know quite a few disgruntled supporters who were waiting to see how we went early on before re-signing. Fair to say we didn’t set the world on fire and it’s reflected in our membership numbers. Hopefully we can win a few more games and get some more supporters to jump on the wagon.

I’m even more depressed about our membership number after hearing St Kilda just reached a record amount of members at 46k. We’re still more than 12k down on last season.
