You may be thinking of Rock Hudson who bashed the shuttlecock from the feathered end. That revelation ruined Mc Millan and wife for me!!!!!!

It's easy to be negative. I'm tired of negativity. I'm looking at the positives. This team, these players with more experience under their belts, with the domination in certain aspects of the game they showed today will win more games than they lose. Don't lose sight of this when you stick the boots into players who make a costly error. Yeah it's frustrating but look to the future. This team is going places and we'll get there sooner than you think. These umpires want to take a good hard look at themselves. Not good enough. The AFL will white wash them no doubt. Guys the future is bright !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here

Brad Hill is not anywhere near being in Hawthorns top 15 players. He does the occasional useful thing but he's a passenger on the Hawthorn bus. His team mates carry him for the most part. No loss to the hawks if he goes. Clanger numbers go down with him out of their side. -
If we beat West Coast I will...
pineapple dee replied to Bleeds_Red_&_Blue's topic in Melbourne Demons
If I am not very much mistaken, our own late great Billy Snedden was surely amongst that number. At a dees v saints game soon after, some very crude and unpleasant saints fans were reminding all and sundry how Billy passed. Poor form !!! -
Fondest Melbourne Demons memory
pineapple dee replied to The Sailing Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was at that game and i remember the sensation of realising we were leading the table after looking up at the scoreboard. Another good memory was playing the cats at the MCG in the year of the Commonwealth games (2006 ? ) and winning a tough hard fought contest against what was a pretty good cats line up (Massive 65,000 crowd too ) 50 / 50 support for both teams. -

Sitting in the members at the G and witnessing the comeback to win against Carlton in the Qualifying final in 2000 when Cam Bruce banged home the final nail from the top of the goal square in the dying minutes. looking at the faces of the Carlton supporters on the siren was absolute gold. Witnessing the best game of football I've ever seen , the 1996 merger game though we lost by a point. I stiil loved that game. -
Should the AFL lead on Social Issues
pineapple dee replied to Diamond_Jim's topic in Melbourne Demons
Touche`. Let the AFL focus on getting it's core business right before dabbling in social issues in a tokenistic, half arsed way only to boost it's own image in the wider community. If they care about violence against women, drug use in society, antisocial violent behaviour by AFL registered players in the community or even racism, we know damn well that the way they should have reacted to all those issues would have been entirely different to what has occured. -
I like the Swiss. I didn't find the Swiss rude and arrogant, rather the reverse. I judge people as individuals when I meet them. The French I have met and interacted with on recent trips to France have been great too. I don't really speak French either but I managed to learn about 50- 60 words or expressions to get me by.

I must send him a card. -
Prior to that Ballantyne goal on White, Ballantyne got 2 metres ahead of White and as soon as he gathered the ball it was game over. Too much latitude for a player of Ballantynes quality. That's what he'll do to a second game player, but White will learn a valuable lesson.

You forgot to mention "inappropriate picture taking" ( otherwise a good summation of the team)
-
Anyone else want to ask " Anyone else having trouble getting the broadcast via AFL" ?????? I bloody well hope not !!!!!!!
-
Is this a rhetorical question or a ridiculous question?? Hide the car keys and the shotgun and have a second bottle of wine ready for the second half. Enjoy ( both the game and the wine)

Around The Grounds - ROUND 16

The umpires are instructed to ignore four long standing rules each game and make a mockery of the game. "Ball touched prior in a marking contest, play on " !!!! TICK !!!! -

Not to mention home invasions and burglaries which we lead by the length of the straight. -
The Chinese only control about 30% of the worlds manufacturing. The rest of the world, 70%. That's heaps for the rest of us!!

Intriguing Jackson. I will bet you any amount that most people here couldn't give a rat's about Brock McLean. He dropped us into a bucket of excrement after his departure from the club. I would rather gouge my eyes out with cucumbers than watch interviews with this individual. Do us a favour and interview Robbie Muir ( without your mouth guard)

Fair enough, they probably are. The stability of few changes is not a bad thing for us. I think we can challenge the crows but getting the chockies this week might be a bridge too far. I am an optimist so I'm looking forward to seeing a fight.
