Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
KingDingAling replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree. Jones isn't perfect, but is the best bloke for the job at the moment. He has been for the past 5 years. I think Viney will get it at the right time. -
If Hird was offered 3 mil at the end of last year to jump - he would've. How Robbo gets away with baseless claims - never backed up by sources - is beyond me. This is why I don't respect journalism anymore. Sure there are some good ones, but the bad apples ruin it for all. Robbo is a rotten apple.

So are worksafe. Essendon are in a worse position than they've ever been. In all likelihood, we aren't even midway through this. Essendon still have to answer to WADA, still have to answer to worksafe, and still could have to answer to further penalties from the AFL - if the WADA case finds them guilty. I actually think draftees should be vocal about the prospect of landing at Essendon, it is a mental health issue now.

I wish Telstra would pick up their act. If I could watch live AFL on my computer, I wouldn't need foxtel. Telstra have been sloppy.

How many duds? Or will it take another 3 years to get rid of them

Howe and Dunn are vital players. Both very good players, if they were to leave - would be a BIG loss. Watts is worth sticking with. Agree with the others. -

Week by week, too inconsistent to think finals IMO. We are in better shape than when Neeld coached, but that isn't saying much. -

1.5 mil is too much I agree. But we are locked in now. I don't like the handover either, but we are stuck with it. -
Embarrassing loss for the MFC. Great win by the girls, fantastic, the blokes didn't back it up - and it is embarrassing for the MFC. Simple basics of football appear to be a thing of the past.
-
Geez, we are ordinary. Very disappointing loss, we've shown we can play, then we go back to our old ways. I don't know what the answer is - but neither do our coaches. Hopefully we get some improvement out of Petracca, Salem, Toumpas and Trengove next year, and just pray they side responds to Goodwin.
-
Where is your urgency Watts? Just simple footy basics, what the hell are our coaching doing? This happens week in - week out. Simple basics of football.
-
Still looks like it might be a 100 point belting.
-
I would rather not.

Matt Jones is a liability.
-
Harmes is a player.
-
I think so too. So has ANB
-
Yep, I've stuck by Roos, but now happy to see him gone. We've seen MFC capable of producing, but too often, the effort is very poor. I'd like to see the coaching position opened up to outsiders at the end of the year.

If we beat them out of the centre, their forward runner is irrelevant. We are getting smashed in the simple basics of football. Win the contested ball, tackle, spread, hit targets.
-
Wow. These blokes are useless.
-
Yeah, that one hurts.
-
How bout we just the girls side out there.
-
Didn't look good. For his sake, I hope it's an ankle - and not a knee.

Petracca's build helps if he is resting forward - which a lot of mids do these days. Nat Fyfe, Dangerfield and Ablett jr are 3 athletic, big bodied midfielders who can rest forward and do serious damage on the scoreboard. All 3 could play as full time forwards. It's just another string to the bow. Not saying Petracca will be as good, but he has similar attributes.

Fantastic news, I thought Gawn acquitted himself well against Goldstein last weekend. Sure, he had his colors lowered, but he was competitive. This time last year he was getting thrown around by Minson, and was easily pushed off the ball. So his improvement this year has been massive. If he can improve again coming into 2016, he'll give Goldstein hell
