Best defence would be that Kozi never goes to ground and always keeps his feet. Ablett Jr was the only other player I’ve seen do this, but Kozi does it even more so.

Laurie is a good signing if he can be a depth mid.

I wouldn’t be trading 6/7 for a guy who will be 28 next year. We have improvement in Windsor and McVee, who next year, won’t be far off Houston’s level.

Get rid of some big contracts

More like it. We definitely need to look to the future. We won a flag. And now need to come back down to earth. Fantastic someone has made the call on Rivers into the midfield. Sam Mitchell tagged him off of the backline last year. Rivers was our top 3 last year, he’ll be our best this year. McVee and Windsor have both been top 5 players for us this year. I like your Mac Andrews call. Those are the type of players we need to chase.

We should win. GWS started too late. They’ll drop off this quarter. They needed to capitalize better that quarter. We really should be able to simply stream roll them in the last. Briggs also injured won’t help.

Fullarton is a back up for Verrall. That’s how it is, and should be. Verrall be ready next year to replace Max should it happen. Hopefully it doesn’t for a couple years more. Fullarton is a VFL back up ruck. It’s why he hasn’t played whilst Max was injured. Fullarton isn’t much chop, and sometimes that happens. Lesson learnt by the list management - do your homework next time. They’d have got their serve.

We wouldn’t do that. We won’t be giving up two firsts. We do need to replenish our stocks with quality young talent - whilst acquiring high class players like Houston. We do have Sparrow to move on, and other players who could potentially have us only give away a 2025 FF.

Any time a top 5 player in the side commits is a good thing. Definitely an up and coming AA level player. Most definitely the best talent I have seen at the club in the 35 years I’ve been supporting us.

I’m not a Lamb fan but see nothing wrong with offloading Grundy, Harmes and Jordon. Grundy was an expensive VFL player at the time, Jordon not getting a regular position in the side, and Harmes was down on form.

Is this the elephant in the room? We have Petracca and Oliver on very big contracts. Aging warriors like Gawn, May, and Viney, would also be on above average coin. Given our list demographic… Are the contracts of Petracca and Oliver, going to anchor us down? Petracca will be 29 in Jan.

Hawks would’ve paid overs to get Meek. We can’t afford to pay overs. We have too many big contracts taking up $$$. It’s why we have to go for left field options like Fullerton. From what I’ve seen of the VFL. I’d probably play Verrall next week. Swing Petty back, and bring Jefferson in.

If we’d have played him down back the past couple years - we wouldn’t be able to afford Petty. He is the best young key back in the league. We’ve just had to play him up forward. Next year he’ll be down back, and we desperately need his height and class down there. Well done to the club for knocking back Adelaide’s deal. It’s now worth it with Petty signing on.

I don’t want to see Sparrow in Demons colors again after today. He’s just sh*thouse. I’ve long thought it, but today it sticks out.

Well done to Caleb Windsor for showing some initiative by switching the play which resulted in us going end to end in 20 seconds. This is why Fremantle aren’t a top 4 side, and a premiership threat. They play to percentages, and will always beat us as we are too predictable. We need to take more risks and force the game. Even if it means we could lose by 10 goals.
