Petty still isn’t proven as a forward. As a backman alone though, he is probably worth picks 10 and 20. However, he is coming off of an injury, appears home sick, and the club at present seems hell bent on off loading salary cap space, which makes me think we’ve something in the works next trade period. Could it be a forward?
  2. I’d like to see us wheel Gawn out in a moon boot in the next few days, just to put doubt in Sydney’s mind - that we might need I keep Grundy.

10 and 20. I’d assume that would probably see him home.
  4. He trained with us leading into that draft. I’d like Billings, he’s classy. Would make a really effective forward pocket player
  5. Both those players are as good as any. Sanders uses the ball well. He is class. O’Sullivan is a big athletic key back, with sticky hands. Any of those guys could get top 5
  6. May wasn’t wrong. He did look a bit baffled as to why he plays for - who he acknowledges to be - a superior team that cannot get the job done, against a less talented list. I know Collingwood fans won’t agree, but if both lists were on an open market for coaches - most coaches would choose our list. We’d probably beat Collingwood by 10 goals if we had Macrae.
  7. That can be quite serious.
  8. Rivers might split those two
  9. An inner city hippie.
  10. Port don’t have the currency. They have few picks and also have a raft of players ‘potentially’ heading their way. West Coast I don’t think would be interested, and likewise Grundy. Geelong would be a good fit, if they could sell that lifestyle to Grundy.
  11. But you just don’t do that. You don’t keep players just because we can, and at the expense of greater needs. The Swans know this. However, we also know that they do not have a ruck. I’d be surprised if we offloaded Grundy for 43. That being said, I’d be more surprised if we held firm on for the sake of a better pick. Sydney probably have the upper hand.
  12. I think Bont is a good thing. No stand outs this year. Oliver has been the standout best player in the league the past couple of years. However, Injury hampered him his year, as it did Daicos.

Who knows how he will go. He wasn’t a good midfield coach though, just like Stafford isn’t a forward line coach, and like Goodwin isn’t a competent coach. I’m indifferent to Yze departing, as we didn’t best utilize him when he was here.

Looks like he doesn’t waste the ball.
  15. If it wasn’t for the AFL handing GC Anderson on a platter, we’d be in a far better position. Now they hand GC Walters, and North appear to be getting more than they deserve. The player we should’ve landed we probably won’t. I hope one of these players comes out and says I’ll only play for the Dees.
  16. JVR, Petty, and Jefferson. We will be fine next year. Just this year we were stiff with injury with Petty.
  17. I’ve watched football for 40 years. I have not seen a better young key defender. This kid has sticky hands, is athletic, great user of the footy, fantastic decision maker, and most importantly - has height. I’d take him with our first.
  18. I like this, as it stifles sides like North from picking up AT for cheap. In most sides this guy gets a game.
  19. Younger brother most definitely does have potential. I spoke to a bloke the other day who said he’s the best junior he’s seen play.
  20. Goodwins message isn’t getting through. We should part ways amicably and give someone else a shot at it.
  21. Depends if we are contributing to his wage. I suspect if we did, then Pick 11 could be in the works.
  22. We had Jesse and kicked it over his head every week, then cursed him for he’s body language.
  23. 1. A disciplined coach 2. A disciplined game plan 3. Capable assistant coaches 4. Clayton Oliver (hope he stays) 5. Rivers in the midfield
  24. I think it’s fantastic we got Grundy back on the park, so his trade value should not diminish. Sydney will be a great cultural fit for him. We didn’t need Grundy. He was as surplus to needs, as all the points we kicked tonight. This club needs an overhaul. It’s ridiculous.
