Gendered domestic violence issues.
I’ve seen many facets of this issue. I have been the perpetrator, the victim, been in custody issues, seen both sides of addiction, completed degrees to the point of writing essays on battered women, also had sympathy for either side of the argument. Have sired both genders. My conclusion is that it’s a complicated and complex issue DV, and thus far to date, there has been a simplistic understanding as to why perpetrators offend. As a society, we are dealing with the broken down family unit, the increase of drugs like ice, social media use we haven’t previously had to deal with. Knowing what I do know, as a parent, I am more concerned of my son, than I am my daughter.

NON-MFC: Round 08
How the hell we overlooked Wilson is beyond me. Would’ve set us up well. Saints have drafted well of late. Many write them off, but they have good youth coming through. Evident that they do need a key back though.

Harrison Petty
The Swap is that Petty is a higher quality back, and Tmac is a level above Petty as a forward. So it’s a no brainer.

Hit on Clarry
Should’ve got a minimum 2 weeks. Intended to hurt and do damage. A fine is a lack of understanding about the pain a punch like this does.

Rory Lobb
Lobb is a spud.

Harrison Petty
Petty needs to play down back. He is a liability up forward, and doesn’t offer anything for us.

NON-MFC: Round 06
Think we thrown all we had. WC knew what we did, and weren’t dealing. If we’d have offloaded Petty, maybe we could’ve snared Reid. But even then, it’s possible WC would’ve still said no. We aren’t the club that should be kicking ourselves. North lost out on Reid and he has the Carey factor.

CASEY: Rd 03 vs Port Melbourne
Having so many tackles is a massive string to his bow. We really need to apply pressure inside the contest, currently, it’s all left to Sparrow.

Harrison Petty
Petty is a reasonable back man. He isn’t much chop as a forward though. For starters, he is a below average kick. In addition, he isn’t exactly clunking the footy. He’s a poor man’s TMAC. However, he is more of a key down back than TMAC was, and we will need that when May is gone.

Kolt to debut vs Brisbane
Id be surprised to see him again this year. Looks too raw, and not even near the standard.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Adelaide
2/2 In SA. Fantastic. Not easy. Well done to the lads. Wasn’t our best game. But we got the job done, I don’t think the umpires served our game style well. Windsor compliments this group a lot. JVR at his best lifts our morale. Petty is a back man, and that isn’t a bad thing, as hell replace May eventually. I thought TMAC did well. Chandler had good pressure. A real game turner was Fritsch, and Pickett was there when needed.

PREGAME: Rd 04 vs Adelaide
Windsor doesn’t look as though he needs a rest. At his rate of improvement he’ll probably be in our best 6 at the club after next week. I haven’t seen a player come at our club come do what Windsor has. We’re a top 4 level club, and this kid comes in first year and improves the side drastically. Unless he gets injured he’ll be winning the rising star.

Rising Star Nomination for The Duke?
He looks good, and flashy, with plenty of upside. Haven’t seen much of the defensive side yet. What’s really impressive about Reid - and Windsor - is their pace. Windsor is sharp inside the contest, repeats tackles, excels on the outside. We’ve lucked out. I haven’t seen that from Reid, but no doubt we will. But Windsor is desperate, and I’d be surprised to see that from Reid. It’s a mentality. If Reid was desperate he wouldn’t carry any fat on him. It’s a harsh bench mark but true.

Sam Weideman
I think he has the attributes to remain on a list somewhere. But time is running out to find his role. It’s probably a third tall rotating as a relief ruck. But he’s had time. It’s not like Watts, who was always a quarterback played up key forward.

Without being bias, and on limited viewing, I’d have him top of the class. Dursma looks good too.
