  1. I’d move Billings to a crumbing role, and give Kozi more on ball time. Billings can kick goals, isn’t very effective as a winger, and Kozi needs more time on ball now Petracca is out.
  2. Lives in Melbourne
  3. Unrestricted free agent. Exactly the type of player we need to target. Would allow us to push Kozi into the middle more, and not lose craft up forward.
  4. I think it might be time to put Rivers in the midfield, and have Howes take his role off half back. Run Kozi through the midfield and have Sestan fill Kozis role up forward. Oliver, Viney and Sparrow being the other mids. They need to work out who is extracting and who isn’t, as currently we have too many contesting the one football.
  5. That would be akin to appointing a ruckman as a forward line coach.
  6. Bulldogs, Hawthorn and Brisbane are below us, and they should comfortably finish above us, so we’ll probably end up with pick 6 or lower.
  7. I don’t really care about the square up. Maynard still bumps first, as opposed to do what the rest of the league is incentivized to do - which is tackle first. It’s self sacrificial to have to tackle first, but it puts the emphasis on the player. I don’t necessarily agree with it - but that’s the way the AFL has mandated it. Yet Maynard is still allowed to bump. He ruined Brayshaws career, and he will ruin more careers if not end a life, as it’s not like the old days when players came into a contest protecting themselves, as they are discouraged to do so.
  8. We won’t finish bottom 4. Bottom 6 most likely. Only a handful of players seem motivated to play for the coach. Some players that wanted out at the end of last season - in Oliver and Petty - are losing their trade value dramatically. That’s industry we are in, teams need to be forward thinking and rejuvenate their list, see problems as opportunities. We wouldn’t get anything near a first round pick for Petty this trade season, and he will still want to leave, and Oliver likewise.
  9. Top end a draft pick? Through being mediocre, trade? Or perhaps both.
  10. Pretty easy to see how firmly entrenched Goodwin is. Demonland are now vetting threads just in case anyone dare bags the anointed one.
  11. Gawn Windsor ANB Pickett JVR
  12. Can Petty take Goodwin back with him?
  13. I’d be prepared to move on a couple of big names with trade value, in order to replenish our talent stocks. I wouldn’t move on Oliver, however, if Goodwin stays I think it will be out of our hands. Not drafting Darcy Wilson last year, and picking up a low level player in Tholstrup, will prove costly for us. TRADE: Petty (not interested in being out there and is mentally fragile). Sparrow: As we already have too many of similar ilk. He’s a Viney clone. RETIRE: Billings, BBB, Hunter DELIST: Laurie, Spargo, Hore, Tholstrup. Replace the coach has he’s lost the group.
  14. I’d be looking to move on some value whilst it’s still there. We have good talent coming through in Windsor, Pickett, Howes, Bowey, Rivers and Sparrow. I’d be looking to cash in Petracca. Gawn, Viney and May will slow down. We need to replenish our stocks.
  15. No way we are making the 8. Goodwin lost this team weeks ago. Our game style, if you lose the side, it becomes evident.
  16. We had Yze coaching the midfield when he had no experience, we have Stafford coaching the forward line. And we have a drop kick coaching the side.
  17. Lost to West Coast, smashed by Freo, losing soundly to Collingwoods twos. Fans actually think we are a finals side. Not even close. Finals list, but coach has lost the players. Anyone who knows the game saw it weeks ago. I’d be interested to see what this list could do even this year, with a new coach.
  18. I have no faith the club will move Goodwin on, and I don’t think he’s getting through to the playing group. Whatever the reason, his message seems stale. The club should be looking to replace Goodwin. I can’t see this list getting to a grand final anytime soon.
  19. He’s an upgrade on any back up we have. He’d be a good promising ruck for us. Definitely a good acquisition should we land him.
  20. He’d be only on a 1 year deal so just move him on at seasons end and onto the next.
  21. Rachele wants to come home. Petty wants to go home. That’s a starting point, as both players have lost trade value this year, and would be worth similar on an open market - an early second rounder. Personally, I’d prefer Rachele is the club. I think Petty mentally fragile like Hogan was. Credit to Jesse, he’s coming good, but it’s been a long road. Body language of Petty is that of a player I wouldn’t even play if I were coach. He looks as though he doesn’t even want to be out there.
  22. I don’t think we are lacking depth in our midfield. We have players who could run through there - who we don’t run through there. Rivers looks a likely candidate. McVee could be effective. ANB is a liability as a midfielder. We have too many of a similar type, and no one like Liam Baker - who is great by foot. We have bulls, but no polish. Unfortunately for us, even if they have polish, we have no forwards. Petty is a promising key back, Turner is an experiment gone wrong, who could be a promising key back, BBB is cooked, JVR is a target, and was missed today, but is unproven.
  23. Utterly lost. I’d agree with that. I think we are wasting Petraccas career. If Collingwood end up bottom 6, I’d float a trade. Petracca is captain coach material, and he looks fed up playing under Goodwin. We need to bring some youth in. We have Windsor - and should’ve had Wilson - but we need to replenish. Our list is overrated, and our coach is just hopeless tactically.
  24. He looks unprepared, and unfit. Unfortunately for us, he doesn’t appear interested in applying himself either. What a waste of money.
