Yep read quite a lot. Fantastic site. Lukey was terrific. Loved the Dees. I still talk with Demonology people. Things were pretty active last September.

I had beers with you back in 2009 after a NAB game in Launceston. Roughead kicked to last goal of the game for us to lose by 3 points. I was with Lukey26 from Demonology.

Friday Night Pre Game Pub in the CBD
During the Northey years it was all always fantastic at the MCG hotel after a win. Swooper would sometimes get in there and mingle with Dees fans. Generous with his time.

NON-MFC: Round 23, 2022
3/4 time 1987 R 22 John Sell told the players the Hawks were home. It certainly helped.

Harrison Petty incident
The game was at Princes Park. Robinson dropped him 100m off the ball while he wasn't looking. Paul Wheatley terrorised him for the rest of the game and Robinson wanted to be somewhere else. I was in the rooms after the game and Bail was clearly out of sorts. He did thank Wheatley for squaring up. Disgusting act by Robinson.

Farewell Luke Jackson
There is no way he will go to the PSD. He will not want that as part of his legacy and this will not get acrimonious. I can see us with 3 first rounders over the next 2 years and I’d be surprised if we did not have void fillers in mind or even spoken to that these picks will be used on.

Farewell Luke Jackson
If the Dockers can somehow manufacture a top 10 pick this year and send it with next years first rounder I think we take it and run. Use this years top 10 pick and next years 2 first rounders on role players. Its how Hawthorn got 3 in a row.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Greg Miller with North negotiated a transfer fee of 60k for John Longmuire with the Swans. To sweeten the deal he asked the Swans to throw in Wayne Carey for an extra 10k. Swans agreed. Carey has been on record referring to himself as steak knives.

Tanking?
That was the last game I went to that year. I was middle deck Olympic stand. When McMahon kicked the goal it was if we had won the game. I was one of the fans standing and cheering.

Tanking?
It was going well until we beat the Power when they were playing for a spot in the 8. It meant we had to lose one of Richmond or Fremantle which were banked as wins.

Farewell Luke Jackson
There wont be an A grader coming back the other way. Dockers see this as an opportunity to improve their list, not square it. They have to find a nice pick this year (top 10) and bundle it up with next years first rounder and some steak knives. That''s the best we can hope for.

Demon Army Cheer Squad
I was at the Suns game at the Gabba in 2018. Ryan was the MC for the pre game. Extremely capable performer in front of an audience. I saw him at the G the following Saturday and congratulated him on job as host.

Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Agree. Walked past him and Kozzie on North Terrace on Saturday morning. Lots of size.

De Goey is the New Story
The team previously known as Essendon.

De Goey is the New Story
I can see him landing at the cheats next year. I wonder if those on here defending his behavior would be happy if the Dees were talking to him after this has surfaced. Not really team first stuff.

Retiring no. 2
It was retired from 87 and given to Stinga in 92.

Farewell Luke Jackson

Farewell Luke Jackson
Most of the team was unwell on Saturday night. Explains why they were run over in the 2nd half.

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
I cant see the NBL holding the whip hand in a television rights negotiation any time soon, if ever. Its a completely different discussion. I''m not sure how we got to this but my point is I just cannot see how the AFL can possibly penetrate the rugby strong hold in western Sydney. There might be market share there but that''s irrelevant if the public don't understand your product. My original post was in response to what the answer is with the Giants is and I dont think there is one.

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
Im not aware of the why the Northern states played Rugby and not Australian rules. I dont think soccer or basketball are that popular in this country. Im sure they don't see themselves éver trying to compete with Australian rules like the AFL is trying to do in rugby heartland.

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
Expansion clubs in non AFL territories cannot hold onto players. Tom Lynch did not want to play in front of 5000 people but rather 75,000. So we had a situation where the best player in the weakest team walks to strongest team at the time. You can give them all the concessions in the world but if every year they are going to the draft to pick players who will request a trade while in their prime it’s never going to work. This is not like the US where every school and college in every state play American football. Trying to grow a sport in a geographic where it is not part of the culture is unique to this country. I can’t think of another example. I don’t think there is an answer.

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
That Hobart waterfront is a world standard environment. Has to be built in Hobart. I just hope it gets support from the whole state. It will need it. Hobart is a long way away from being a Green Bay.

Kangaroos Hopping Mad after Triple Walk Out
Do you think if the stadium is built in Hobart the people from the North will travel to attend games and conversely if the stadium is built in Launceston the people from the South will travel to attend games. From what I understand this is a huge challenge. Also Green Bay is very unique. Publicly held and 3 generations of not knowing anything else other than loving your city's football team. Not built overnight.
