Out: Blease - They have said all year his defensive skills were not up to it and that showed today - papers stamped - NEVER to play again McKenzie - A tagger with the worst disposal in the AFL - cant play on the pacier midfielders in the comp or the taller mids ( Pendles, Kennedy etc) VFL from here until his contract expires. We wont delist as he is back up for Cross against injury - DUD all the same. Tapscott - Is hard at it and can use the ball OK but cant kick the goals when needed and his injury prone body and inconsistency makes him undependable - NEVER to play again. Riley Terlich In: Cross Mitchie Salem Jones Grimes

Any other reports from training Grand new Flag or Saty ? -
I hope those looking at WC - A Gaff have reconsidered. Is the definition of a soft down hill skier. Had 1 tackle last week in the wet when Pridis had 18. IMO does not play the style of football Roosy want's.

I tend to think the other way - Mick is old and delusional the same way that Sheedy and Baras went a bit loopy at the end there after all those years under the pressure. I would think a 36- 38 year old would be able to assimilate with a young player group easier than a 50+ player that has been removed from playing for so long. All about respect and player management for mine.

Cheers WJ, I will be there cherry ripe for the WC game !!! I'm from Perth so my judgement is that I want to se the kid play. Understand the flight "may" be an issue but can't se why the club wouldn't fly him over a day early to make sure he gets some extra time and a night to sleep in his bed at home with his family. A huge win / win for both club and player here. -
Let's get back on topic please

Couldn't disagree more with this statement - Never should a game of AFL representing the Melbourne Football Club be classed as "meaningless"> and please explain the 5 hour flight being far from ideal ??? do all WA teams only give debut games for home games????? I'd would bloody walk - swim - crawl to Nepal if that offered me one bloody game ! -

Don't understand the logic of not playing Hogan if he is ready and bye all accounts is desperate to play. Who knows what the future holds but your first AFL game is every kids dream , he's worked hard for 7 month's ,so reward the kid , play him, if only for the experience - The West Coast game seems like the perfect opportunity. Say he plays against WC and kicks a couple in front of his family and friends , we win - I go ape sh*t in the crowd with a couple of long suffering WA based Dees supporters , we take that in to the last round and nock of North full of confidence for 2015 - guaranteed an extra 5 thousand members . -

If Cross comes in ( & I think he will) IMO he goes to Hanley and McKenzie might stay in for a run with roll on Rockliff. although they me give Viney that roll also as they are of similar size and playing style. In: Cross Out: Tapscott ( unlucky maybe) -
Paul Roos signs for third year
Maggot 1977 replied to Its Time for Another's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Chip decides not to sign on ( I personally think he won't)he may look quite silly in a year or two !!! This is great news Roos has shown that he has the respect to attract quality and this will enable us to be very appealing to sign new players for a minimum of 2 years -

After last night admittance by Roo's regarding a quality HBF with run , dash and elite kicking skills - who is available or able to be pinched in the market for 2015? -

Oh God please be true -
Big Max will take time and IMPO deserves to be persevered with. Sandilands still struggles to take a mark and he has been in the system a lot longer. Max is a goer and has an appetite for the contest , our player development over the last 8 years has ben rubbish and I think Max will blossom under new tutelage and a big pre season

Thought's on getting Mathew Boyd on a 2 year deal from the Bullies? -
Would appreciate a summary for those that get a listen

Watershed 2015 season for both of these 2 blokes IMO !! There is a real possibility that both would be put on the trade table at the end of the year. Package them both together in a deal to send the back to SA and a top round pick for Dangerfield.
