  1. My point is that whilst other teams are trying to top up their lists we are in the position of having the blokes we just brought in being the best contributors on our list. It says very little our bottom 10 players on the ground and whether they would be on other AFL lists.
  2. 1. Jesse Hogan - Keep 2. Nathan Jones -Keep 3. Christian Salem - Keep 4. Jack Watts - Keep 5. Jimmy Toumpas - Keep 6. Chris Dawes - keep if fit 7. Jack Viney - Keep 8. James Frawley - Will leave as a free agent.Agree 9. Jack Trengove - Trade 11. Mitch Clark - Will request trade to Freo or retire. Wont play AFL again and sit on our list next year 12. Dom Tyson - Keep 13. Jordie McKenzie - Delist - no one will want him - lack of foot skills has ruined a promising career. 14. Lynden Dunn - Keep 18. Daniel Cross - Offer one year as playing assistant coach (like ) 20. Colin Garland - Keep 23. Bernie Vince - Keep 25. Tom McDonald - Keep ( spend all of pre season on his disposal ) 31. Jack Grimes - Keep 15. Mitch Clisby - Depth Player 19. James Strauss - Delist 22. Viv Michie - Keep 24. Jay Kennedy-Harris - Keep 27. Aiden Riley - Keep 29. Jayden Hunt - Too early 32. Michael Evans - Delist 33. Dom Barry - Delist at end of year 37. Max Gawn - Keep 38. Jeremy Howe - Keep 42. Jake Spencer - Keep back up to Gawn & Young King 48. Jack Fitzpatrick - Trade 10. Shannon Byrnes - will retire 16. Dean Kent - Keep for 1 more year, showed a bit last year. 17. Sam Blease - Trade / delist 21. Cameron Pederson - delist 26. Daniel Nicholson - delist 35. Luke Tapscott - delist 40. Mark Jamar - delist 44. Rohan Bail - delist 45. Matt Jones - one more year 46. Dean Terlich - one more year Rookies: 39. Neville Jetta - gone 41. Alex Georgiou - keep 43. James Harmes - keep 47. Max King - keep so what's that make it 15 changes - Id be happy with that looking that the blokes we have traded in this last year have been some of our better contributors: Tyson Vince JKH Mitchie Geogiiou
  3. A sad indication of where we are at is that over the first 2 games are best players have been: Jones - last 2 years standout player. Vince - Adelaide didn't want Tyson - couldn't get a game in a side they had won 2 games all year Cross - 34 year old reject from a bottom 8 side Dunn - Hats off to this bloke - gives his all and has worked hard on all aspects of his game Watts - typical yo - yo - good one game , rubbish the next.
  4. Like your squad Sassy but its hard to build a new culture if we reward blokes like Fitzy with another game after that pitiful performance, but I guess what are other options ?
  5. Surely Trengove gets a spell before Toumpas? Either way its one very slow race to the finish line. Their lack of leg speed is a major concern, if you were an opposition coach you would just be playing an explosive attacking player against either of these with instruction to spread quickly from stoppages and burn them on the outside.
  6. In: Gawn , Viney, Blease, Garland Outs: Peterson, Bail, Trengove, Fitz,
  7. Members get tired of being fed rubbish and can only suffer mis-management for so long. Most clubs when a player suffers a soft tissue industry will advise a grade 1, 2 or 3 and thus x amount of weeks. we on the other hand get fed hyperbole about "tightness" "twinges" & soreness for weeks on end . All other clubs ? which other club has lost 2 ruckman, & 3 FF/CHF by week bloody 2 of the season. Poor management in my opinion. Blokes have more chance coming back from a full LARS surgery than are big blokes do from hamstring or calf "tightness"
  8. Hamstring Tightness - that's Mr Elite Fitness speak for 4-6 weeks and even maybe a trip to Germany for a second opinion from an ex KGB pharmacist.
  9. Out Fitness staff would want a kick up the arse for not making sure our only remaining tall option just has a light session to get through to Sunday. Team management !!!! Dawes, Hogan, Gawn, Clark - not hard to se the trend here.
  10. What the crap is the "soreness" and " Tightness" sometimes I think these blokes believe that they treat everything like an Olympic final - any little twinge, bruise or bump and its cotton wool. Do a bloody pre season to harden up and get your body use to the pain!!! Not .... geeze I'm a little sore after playing a full contact sport, best I spend some more time on the exercise bike , lap pool or masseurs table. Roos has said we are fragile in the mind , now we are fragile in the body and heart !! eg Joel Selwood wood be playing !!!
  11. thedeeman please explain under what pretence are you starting Dom Tyson on the bench ahead of Trengove? The bloke has 32 touches and a goal and you want to start him on the bench???
  12. N.Jones- workhorse, committed, Captain Grimes - steady Watts - playing to strengths Toumpas - not enough ball Frawley - decent Trengove - possessions weren't significant Byrnes - Casey regular Tyson - Great coup Dunn - wonderful battler Cross - mediocre Pederson - Trier but you cant miss from the bloody goal square you nuff nuff !!!! Michie - Disappointing Vince - clever and prolific Kennedy -Harris - surprisingly un-composed , rushed McDonald - poor decision maker Howe - had a nightmare Spencer - Another sub AFL Battler Bail - disappeared second half M.Jones - showed good run Terlich - barely a pass mark Fitzpatrick - Rubbish Georgiou - stuck to his guns
  13. C'mon Jabberwock, now is not the time for such negativity. Agree there are a couple of blokes that may not be up to AFL standard but the nucleus of a competitive unit is there for all to see. To think of the out and out duds we had running around in 2012 & 2013 this side is the first of 23 steps in the right direction.
  14. Agreed Chippy - no chance Vince is HBF - very excited and confident of a win here !!!
  15. Matt Jones maybe considered the lucky one and Blease the unlucky player
  16. Who do we think Clint Jones will go to lock down? Jones must surely be thinking " please not me for once "
  17. RUBBISH SIDE --STRAUSS , GAWN WONT PLAY * TOUMPAS is questionable - Georgiou is a certain starter
  18. Really looking forward to see what Riley will deliver for us. I would think that he will be upgraded to the senior list as soon as possible and they will put Clark on the LTI list at the same time. One player that will require some coaches focus is Toumpas - He seems a very driven individual who sets himself very high standards and goals and thus careful guidance and management of him if he indeed spends some weeks playing for Cassey.
  19. I don't think Toumpas will start ahead of Cross but a fair summation of the side there Master Demon
  20. Will they place Clark on the LTI list ? I hope they do to give another Rookie a chance.
  21. Watts has trained all pre season as a mid so play him as a mid. Against a heavily undermanned Saints midfield is the perfect opportunity for him gain some confidence in his new role. His unquestionable use of the ball by foot should come into play when he gets some outside ball. Like others have said I think Pedo has worked his ring out this pre season and deserves first crack at CHF. I for one am very confident that we will be rejoicing come Sat night.
