  1. With Nic-Nat coming out of contract do we give ourselves any chance of putting up an offer that could tempt him? I'm sure Frawley would be looked at by West Coast as a perfect replacement for Glass next year.
  2. Any significant report would be as always well received from the interstate Demons fans amongst us.
  3. IMO our back 6 are quite settled, However there should be way that Tyson doesn't start in the middle ahead of Trengove. Cross and Michie have done full pre seasons and will start on the ground above the likes of Viney & Bail. My side Rnd 1 B L: Georgiou - Frawley - Terlich H B: Grimes - McDonald - Dunn C L: Watts - Tyson - Cross H F: Michie - Dawes - Trengove F L: Howe - Fitzpatrick- Kennedy - Harris Foll: Spencer - Vince - N.Jones I/C: McKenzie - Bail - Pederson Sub: Blease Emerg: MJones - Clisby - Viney
  4. My sources have informed me that Simon Black was approached before committing to the Lions , However Roos was very positive in the meeting and is keen to get him down as an assistant next year if the Ling deal falls through. IMO the dream would be to secure Roos for another year, Ling as his heir apparent and Blacks as the apprentice to work side by side with Ling.
  5. Hope JKH has a blinder against the Hawks as Brynes was very disappointing against Geelong. IMO all of Cross, Tyson, Vince & Mitchie will be in the staring 18 come round 1 and I would be picking Viney as the sub if needed way before Jordie gets a gig !!
  6. LIKE YOUR TEAM, but doubt if Blease will be on the ground. Geeze Jamar will be starting from a long way back.
  7. For those that have witnessed training do the following seem to be front runners for a starting 22 - Mitchie, Tyson,JKH
  8. Thank you to all who observe and supply information. Being a WA based follower it is a great insight into how the team is travelling. I haven't read much about Mitchie but all my Fremantle mates were devastated to se him leave and believe he is can be a star if remains fit.
  9. There is no way that Tapscott, McKenzie and Blease will be in in 22 together. IMO all 3 are on very shaky ground . All struggled to get a game last year in our worst side for decades.
  10. Are you kidding??? This bloke had the same desire for a tackle and hard ball get as Homer Simpsons love of salad. The bloke was flaccid on all counts, and even in his latest game WAFL GF on a wet windy day he still cant register a tackle in a whole game. The amateurs are calling Cale, loud and clear !!!
  11. As a fellow WA born and bread this kid is going to be HUGE and I will be leading the Band Wagon - Jump on One & All
  12. I guess one of my biggest claims to fame was shaving off a passed out Shane Woey's eyebrow on an end of season footy trip . Maybe that was why he gave up drinking and became a Brownlow medallist. Either way I'm claiming it !!!
  13. Could be worse IMO. Its all about building momentum and belief and a 6-3 at the bye is my dream
  14. Played 120 colts , reserves and 1 league game for WAFL club back in the late 90's ( most of alongside Woey). Trained with Dockers but never had the skill or professionalism to go to the next level. Ended up playing 130 games for A grade amateur club but was cruelled by knee & shoulder recon's. Was lucky enough to coach an undefeated premiership side and be awarded life membership and Team of the decade for my amateur club. Now with 3 kids and a sore body.
  15. Spencer is our 3 best ruck option behind Jamar, Gawn
  16. Doubts is he has the sprint pace to keep up with the smaller quick Half forwards of the completion?
  17. Not bad , I think our back 5 is almost a lock - just who plays on the other flank with Grimes? Mat Jones finished 4th in the B&F so you would think he is on the ground. Viney will play in the square. Dawes to CHF Mitchie if fit will start.
  18. Bail - concussion Pederson - absolute Dud Magner - lack of opportunity will be the likely candidates for me. ] Garlett is a must if available for a small forward role, has the size , skill and ability to start round 1 in a forward pocket.
  19. Live in Fremantle? play for a Fremantle do you champ? Talked to many ex players, supporters and staff have we? I'm surrounded by them each and every day. They all warned me that they were like a cancer in there club and so it has been proven. Happy to be paying out Connelly's contract are we? How many games did we win under there watch? Have they left us in a better position then when they arrived - not bloody likely.
  20. I watched first hand Schwab and Connelly set back Freo 10 years and couldn't believe we hired these 2 Muppets. They should be remembered for the sacking of a beloved captain a good coach, the debacle at Kardinya Park , the hiring of a dud coach, the worst recruiting record since the Dockers , our worst loss at home in over 100 years and the financial strain upon the club by giving contracts to mates knowing full well that they were more than likely going to be moved on or made redundant. Don't let the door knock you in the head on the way out !!!!
  21. Dud, was a waste of time, effort and money - if the club had taken the time to speak to a Cats fan & not a representative trying to [censored] a mule they would have realised his quality at AFL standard was questionable at best. Its not hard to look Ok in a VFL game when your side dominates week in week out.
  22. Neeld may have been a squid with most things , however obtaining Hogan was an inspired decision.
