  1. Think Dawes & Garland are both locks to play this week and maybe either Blease or Clisby.
  2. Ha ha now hats what i'm talking about !!
  3. I wonder what rubbish will be peddled out this week in regards to injuries ? Jesse Hogan (TBA) I can just see it now we nurse this bloke through a tough injury not to give any long term damage an Chris Dawes 3-4 Mitch Clark (retired or 12 month sabbatical) James Strauss (standard 3- 4) Colin Garland (2-3 weeks) Max Gawn (standard 3- 4) Bound to be another mystery injury or 2 as well
  4. Surely we cant give Postman Pat another go -- We should not accept his output from an AFL listed player. This is a player who through circumstance has been given the opportunity to grab an AFL forwards position by the scruff of the neck and say this is my dream and I will not let it go by at least tackling hard , chasing and showing some desperation. 6 Handballs , 2 kicks , 1 mark & 3 tackles in his last 2 games is the output we received ( That's an average midfielders 1/4 time stats) Postman Pat has failed the litmus test and a delisting beckons. An unfit Jamar resting in the forward 50 would offer me more hope than Postman Pat
  5. Delisting 10 - 15 players at the end of the year and somehow finding AFL standard replacements is the biggest challenge that faces the club. We Demon fans live in a land of year long disappointments and then post season hope. It would be sad but if Clark does retire I would hope that the club would make a statement that " we will be ultra aggressive in the trade period to get the right people to our club, for those currently on our list you have 20 games to prove you deserve to be here and are willing to do what it takes to stop the rot "

  7. If it looks like sh*t, smells like sh*t & plays like sh*t , then it is more than likely sh*t. We will be lucky to win a game 2 games this year. If the following doesn't occur: * AFL gives us a host of concessions at next years draft( pick 1, 2, 4 & 6) * if we don't get Clark's $750,000 to try and grab some real quality players in the open market. * Roos wont commit long term or an attention grabbing successor appointed. Then I feel that: * Sponsorship will dry up. * Membership numbers will plummet (7000 at Sunday's game) * The AFL will seriously consider a merger with the Kangaroos. * and I will have followed a club that has never won a flag in my lifetime and have to get my tattoo removed.
  8. Prove me wrong JT please...... but I think the game might have sped past you. Trade table back home to SA.
  9. Can someone please confirm when the final teams will be announced for both Dees & Scorpions?
  10. Garland & Gawn will be another 3 - 4 away Dawes 5- 6 and Clark 7- 8 ,months if ever. I would not be surprised to see none of these blokes play multiple games before the bye round.
  11. Bugger we would be saving a packet
  12. At this rate if we don't win more than a couple of games it would indeed cost the club money - the set up, administrative costs , employees time etc - Performance based contracts for players would be more beneficial one would think ... LTI players go to 3/4 pay ?
  13. It would be nice to see some more past players names on the pledge list, I'm sue people like Woey could add to the appeal by getting his name on the list.
  14. I'm almost more excited to find out how Casey go rather than the Dess at this stage. If I lived in Melbourne im sure id be there on Saturday knocking of a few cold ones
  15. Cant understand people wanting to drop Frawley with no Garland in the side. Just remind me how Fitz & Pederson has gone the first 2 weeks !!!
  16. McKenzie behind Barry may speak volumes of where he is at in the pecking order. I would drop Trenners unfortunately
  17. Like your comments drdrake but I think they may bring Garland straight in and play Dunn forward,
  18. My effort at our best side so early in the season is: B: Lynden Dunn, James Frawley, Dean Terlich HB: Col Garland, Tom McDonald, Jack Grimes C: Daniel Cross, Dom Tyson, Jack Watts HF: Bernie Vince , Chris Dawes, Jeremy Howe FF : Jay Kennedy-Harris, Mitch Clarke,Jessie Hogan FOLL: Max Gawn , Nathan Jones,Jack Viney I/C: Matt Jones, Viv Michie, Trengove Toumpass
  19. well after the latest injury report I am a little bit chirpier today. Reading between the lines and after the initial horror of Hogan out for at least 6 more weeks. Mitch Clark (personal leave) – indefinite - In my opinion wont play again Chris Dawes (calf) – 2 weeks - Think he will come straight in to the seniors Colin Garland (ankle) – available Max Gawn (hamstring) – test Jesse Hogan (back) – 4-6 weeks Mark Jamar (calf) – available Jordie McKenzie (foot) – available
  20. Ins: Gawn, McKenzie,Garland, Viney & Blease Outs: Pedersen, Fitzpatrick, Trengove, Bail & Michie
  21. Any idea when our next training session will be ? Should be very interesting to see who has an extra spring in there step, and if Gawn is a chance of a surprise selection ? I don't think Jetta will be a chance as I have the feeling that Riley will come in after 1 or 2 games at Casey.
  22. "Chris Dawes, Jesse Hogan, Col Garland, Max Gawn and Mitch Clark have been battling a range of issues, while Jamar suffered pre-season hamstring problems before hurting his calf in January. None of them will come in to face the Giants – and Hogan looks set to be unavailable for at least another month " 4-5 weeks for Dawes, 6 weeks plus for Hogan - big chance we will be 0- 11 at the halfway mark of the season !!
