  1. Frawley leaves, Demons delist 6 players Offer Dangerfield captaincy - offer up both Toumpas and Trengove in deal Target Swans players - Mitchell & B.Jack
  2. A decent article : http://www.sportsfan.com.au/hogans-faith-adds-to-dees-good-vibes/tabid/91/newsid/136313/default.asp
  3. You little Ripper - no need to rush him back ..... but wouldn't it be great if he plays against Lions, WC,GWS and North !! 3 or 4 wins at the tail end of this season would invigorate the whole football department to make bigger in roads and attack the preseason with some real gusto and optimism!! Have to love the dream
  4. IMO Chip is has decided to go a long time ago and a deal has already been made. If all and sundry can see the direction the club is taking and he can not then so be it , we are better to have a bargaining chip to wave around at trade time
  5. It would be remiss of me to ask about Jesse Hogan? On another thread there was a topic of a contract extension any news on that front?
  6. Hi Saty, Great report again !What's your gut feel on inclusions ? Also I am interested to know the body language of some of the players stuck at Casey. I would think that a number of players would start to feel that their cards have been stamped ( rightly so in some instances) and that the 2nd half of the year could be a grind.
  7. Not in the first 10-15 minutes of a quarter Mike Nolan maybe the last 5 minutes of a quarter. He is averaging 14 disposals a game - Horribly out of form.
  8. So we write off a spot in the starting 22 of an AFL team because a bloke misses out on 8 weeks running? Give it a rest !!! A lack of conditioning has bugger all to do with poor decision making and turn overs. The truth is Garland is horribly out of form and for our side that mean he is a major liability as we need 22 solid contributors to be competitive week in week out.
  9. Garland would have to be a little worried - his form this year has been very substandard. Out: McKenzie, Garland & Salem to start as Sub. In: Turlich,Blease and maybe Michie if they feel another warrants a rest
  10. IMO Garland might be due for a spell at Casey, his form this year has been terrible and I think Terlich would be ample cover for the Dogs who don't have the tallest forward line.
  11. I to am not a Matt Rossa fan. Us WA people get saturated with Eagles coverage and for mine he is nothing more than a down hill skier who is tagged out of a game and pushed off a contested easily. I think we should look elsewhere at the end of the year. However in light of what Roos and the coaching staff have accomplished with our list this year I will trust there judgement 100%

  13. Saty, I know you here it all the time but Thanks a heap for all your training reports !!! For all us interstate and oversees fans they are an invaluable source of information and association to our club. Loved some of the images after the game on Sunday showing the Melbourne members going off the collective heads long after the siren had sound - I hope you were one of the lucky ones there !!!
  14. I am of the opinion that once Hogan returns he is better off to us on the opening market to trade for another gun midfielder at years end. He is a backman playing as a forward (Doing a great job mind you) however he has missed numerous shots that a gun forward would and should kick. Why would we pay well over his worth as a second string forward - if that is where Roos is going to play him ? Use his market worth as a great backline player to the many teams that will screaming for a key backman at years end ( Freo, Hawthorn, Geelong, West Coat) Would we entertain for example a trade to WC for Shuey and their first pick in exchange for one of our later picks? It all seems a little like Hawthorn last year , how the moved away from being so reliant on Buddy as a forward option as they new he was moving on. Play Frawley as a forward increase his market worth , knowing you have Hogan in the bank and a draft coming up that is stacked with quality Key forwards to choose from.
  15. Thanks for the feedback Jazza - it's amazing how quick the game can leave a player behind. If he continues to struggle to get a game for the Swans is he a chance to look elsewhere ?
  16. Chad Wingard would be a great fit and huge feather in Nev's bow should he be able to repeat his effort on Betts
  17. Is Gary Rohan another version of a Bleese ?
  18. 3 of those might be a chance. Brandon Jack would be paid well under his worth and has been dropped twice this year already. Patton looks disinterested and Im sure would not be keen to be an experimental back man should it come to that.
