2014 Player Review - # 26 Dan Nicholson

Just stating facts here mate. I presume you played a decent level Nasher ? If so I presume you could hit a target from 35M at training? This bloke struggled to accomplish that skill. -

No excuse for not being able to kick after 4 years on AFL list. Its called football for a reason - you must be able to kick the thing. -
Serve me 2 big helpings of humble pie. Had this bloke written off but proved me wrong. Well done Cam

4/10 for the year - Looked lost and confused at times and offered little to no run and carry out of defence. Would be hoping for a huge pre season to get back to 2013 form. A vital cog in defence when in form -
2014 Player Review - # 19 James Strauss

Well said Poita !!! Delist and move on thanks -
Need 18 More of this blokes professionalism, work ethic and commitment !!

The Brisbane game was the realisation for me that he was never going to make it. All year long he was told that his lack of defensive pressure and mind set was keeping him out of the team. Then to let his man run away and kick a goal in the last showed he just doesn't get it. If we get anything at all for this down hill skier then I will be more surprised than when the Eagles took Morton.

Makes Queens Birthday interesting if true

Still think this blokes has a great deal to offer and I would be having a crack at getting him over from the cats

A real battler who tries his guts out , BUT lacks the following: * Speed * Height to play as a defensive tagger if his on -baller pushed forward * Ability to kick on his left foot * Ability to kick on his right foot * Elite decision making * No sidestep of evasive skills This contract will be his last - another failure -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
Maggot 1977 replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
A lot of people are classing him as a HBF I think his go is the wing. -
Yeah that he agree with most of the posters on this forum - 70% are duds
-
I don't mind Robinson .. his style of play and the attributes he posses would greatly improve our side. I agree with you Red Leg as soon as a player dons a red & blue jumper he is "ours" and the slate is clean.
-
Anything for Blease ( IMO selfish DUD) is a win!! If we land Robinson this is a sensational outcome.
-
His loss will be our clubs gain. Looked burnt out and disinterested.

Players not to target at the end of the year

IMO - Fitzy is a bum - Was given every opportunity at the start of the season and failed miserably , last 2 games were merely window shopping him for a suitor in the trade period.
-
If bloke like Polkinghorn and Banfield are passed over what realistic chance has Strauss, Blease & Tapscott got ? Next to nothing !!
-
He was meant to be an elite runner with great outside finishing skills. His double hip Surgery as well as some bulk to his frame seem to have effected his pace alarmingly and he became another medium paced midfielder to go along with Trengove , Jones , McKenzie Etc Etc. We were searching for an attacking pacey wingman with great finishing skills but is yet to happen for Jimmy. Would be happy to for him to stay and deliver next year. But I could understand his trade value because next year if he is still not performing I think he will be delisted
