  1. Not 'elite' fit you couldn't. These guys are already crazy fit, but need to get the 4 mths of preseason in to get that extra fitness to improve
  2. Worth a read of Bernie's comments , saying H wasn't at the club much last year so maybe he wasn't best 22. Also said we have the best medicos in the comp. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/teams/melbourne/heritier-lumumba-set-to-retire-but-launch-legal-proceedings-against-melbourne/news-story/aa2cfc902a088f132c92500b6039ebd2?utm_content=SocialFlow&utm_campaign=EditorialSF&utm_source=HeraldSun&utm_medium=Twitter
  3. I like this, and not just due to the strong legal position it puts us in. That the club is an industry leader in this particular issue is something to really be proud of
  4. Have you seen the build of those steeple chasers? Make Cale Morton look like Mr Universe
  5. I saw on the MFC twitter an hour ago what looked like the start of a time trial. Does anyone have anymore info on this?
  6. I would rather NB than BLK. Just placed into receivership. Are the apparel sponsor of 6 clubs
  7. Asking the club to change from a white clash strip to a red and blue one is futile. They obviously don't perceive it to be a huge issue, and using the AFL excuse is easy for them. you are wasting your time. The real argument should be wound the mooted 2017 clash jumper. It's putrid. It is possible to have a visually acceptable jumper that has white in it.
  8. Clarrie caught over the limit during the break, according to the MFC website http://m.melbournefc.com.au/news/2016-11-15/club-statement-on-clayton-oliver
  9. I think, because the penalty happens before the draft, they go in with the second batch of picks.
  10. I think we do, quite a bit actually. We even sell their shoes in our online store
  11. If they were to sign on again I'd be pushing for a greater range of MFC apparel on their website. It's disgraceful
  12. If this was the case, you think you'd just leave it and see. Rather than un-nominate him
  13. This might remove the incentive to tank late in the season, but what about a club like brisbane who do, actually, really suck. They end up with pick 6 or 7 instead of 1 because some others might have made a choice to tank previously. I'd prefer a lottery for these teams, with the lower teams getting more entries, like in the NHL
  14. While generally I agree, when you are 194+ and expected to wrestle guys 100-105kg, that 5-10kg makes a huge difference
  15. Hopefully it means he will be spending more time up the ground. Thought from the pictures Omac looked to still be rake thin. Hopefully he puts on some weight over this preseason, or he'll have the same issue as his brother against the big forwards
  16. Interesting that he now needs to play nearly every game to trigger the fourth year of his contract. It really is make or break this year
  17. Rather than use 86 on a speculative kid and have to give them a 2 year contract, we will us it to upgrade wagner and use his rookie spot, and a 1 year deal, on a speculative kid
  18. It was the 14th of September, according to the Hun. For everyone but Jobe and Fletcher
  19. Probably 2020 if he is in year 8 this year, as per the OP
  20. Does anyone remember what our profit was last year? Until it is consistently north of $1mil, we need these games
  21. Was relatively athletic but didn't have the footy atributes to make any real impact. Hawks become another club to realise we delisted these guys for a reason
  22. I just read this... Dees to finish 5th? Stuff dreams are made of
  23. And I think this will be the thing. Will he be able to execute those skills under the pressure of AFL? You generally need speed, a side step or a great footy brain to give yourself the time to hit targets
  24. Dawes, Newton and Michie would be my bets. Frees up a few primary list spots and a rookie spot.
