for a guy with supposedly sticky mitts he drops his first 6-7 marks in that video. Not great to see

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
I won't be saying meh, I'll be asking my TV screen very loudly why they tried to shrug the tackle instead of getting rid of the ball. More likely scenario is I'll be applauding Daicos or Ginnivan getting pinged

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
I don't think its that complicated. The rule was brought in to stop a third man up after the rucks had engaged at a ball up. Penalise the third guy. They managed to work out who the rucks were competing in the contest for decades. No reason they can't do it now. All it will take is a few free kicks before players stop protesting confusion and get on with it.

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
Yep, I read that as nomination remaining, they just aren't waiting. That sucks. It should be no nomination at all and third man in is penalised. Also hate the stand rule crack down. All the others are meh.

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
I think our issue in the past hasn't been too many bulls, it's too many bulls who had absolutely no other string to their bow. Trac was the only one of the 3 who could move forward, and even then, he was a terrible set shot. Langford has shown he can play elsewhere, and if Lindsay develops into an inside mid I think he's shown the same. I think Greeves has also shown he can possibly move forward, so is probably less of an issue than carrying Viney, Trac and Oliver.

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Fair to say Clarry is using the time between being let go by Melbourne, and being pulled into line by GWS, to take a number of pot shots at sports reporters he doesn't like. Chief among them Tom Morris and Mitch Cleary. He's also posting pictures showing him hanging out with Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Harmes. He's not our problem anymore, but I'd be surprised if the Giants didn't give him a call to tell him to tone it down.

The Mitch Marsh Thread
Interesting to see where he fits going forward. Too short to play as the 1st or 2nd forward, but would be handy as a third forward. Very different playing style to Fritta but essentially that position. Our medium fwd stocks are a bit bare. Fritta hopefully has a few years left but Melk probably has 1, Mihochek 2-3.

2026 Player Numbers
Steele might like to keep 9. Or might like a fresh start. I don't mind the idea of Langford in 4, Lindsey in 5 along with Windsor in 6

It was visible in the video the club put out with Chaplin's post-game address after the last game. It wasn't leaked by anybody.

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
They haven't changed the rule. Yes, Lamb said they can't but I'm assuming thats because he either thought they were talking about trading them for a player, he had Humphrey in his mind or he just forgot. We can absolutely trade our picks for other picks.

Grading the Trade Week
The Age gave us a B+, with only GC and GWS above us

Bailey Humphrey
They haven't. Assuming he was thinking of trading for players, not ither picks

Farewell Christian Petracca
Would rather watch GC and GWS. See Clayton and Petracca duke it out. Then we'll see what they really think of one another

I think we can close it considerably sooner next year, when he comes out and publicly nominates Hawthorn
-
Farewell Clayton Oliver
They'll be announced close together because rhe aFL dictate when deals can be announced on the last day to drive up ratings

The 2026 1st is too much. They can keep 7 and we'll keep our F1
