POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Just read through the tears. Honestly felt like I was reading DL in 2024-25.

PREGAME: Rd 03 vs Carlton
Hopefully you get enough notice if TMac is in. May not have had the impact of Max but has been a brilliant servant of the club for a long time and deserves the kudos for reaching 250.

Umpiring Stats Being Hidden ... by the Umpires
The stats also don't show differences in game styles that result in more frees. From memory, Richmond gave away a lot of frees in their good years, simply due to the game style they played. Tigers fans still see this as deliberate corruption on behalf of the AFL and umpires. I don't believe umpires purposefully pay dodgy frees against certain teams. Provided the AFL get these stats and they are used to coach umpires, I don't see it as an issue

Umpiring Stats Being Hidden ... by the Umpires
Don't actually blame them. The amount of vitriol they would receive for doing their jobs, why give another stat that out of context can be used to abuse them by fans that take nothing but the raw number of frees paid against their team as a personal affront.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Fremantle
Just looking at the Freo team. They really do have too good a list to be as inconsistent as they are. Stacked forward line, awesome midfield even with Young out, backs are ok but have a couple of very good players. No cox is a good thing for Max. All he would have done is try to clobber him, and then stretch our backs when he went forward.

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
Does anyone know why the changed races? And someone mentioned they may have changed benches too? Is it just an 'everything new' thing or something else?

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
The last time we kicked 18 goals the coach was sacked! Kingy better leave his phone on silent this weekend Max, Steele and Salem all had 20+

POSTGAME: Rd 01 vs St. Kilda
I agree, but you don't lose too many times with more scoring shots, winning the contested possessions and.... oh wait

The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Looks like Smith finished up in 85 and Garry started in 86. But you'dthink he would have been around as a recently retired player

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
Very honest but I think the thing missing here is that they chased him from the moment he signed with Melbourne. They were relentless in trying to get him back, like they were with Jackson. And then to not have done the background work to realise that Perth wasn't good for him, or to put whatever needed to be in place, means it was absolutely a poor trade. It seems like a massive lack of due diligence to me.

Sacrilege-is Max hurting our future development?
On the others who's development Max may have/be stifling: Heath and White are young Grundy was roughly the same age as Max, not as good and also couldn't play anywhere but No. 1 ruck Preuss has done very little at GWS The other young rucks we recruited weren't up to it

Sacrilege-is Max hurting our future development?
Max was AA last year. He's the best in the league. As long he is delivering those sort of performances in his position, I don't think he should be looking for give up game time. When he eventually slows or his output diminishes, it's a different story

NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round
They may not get the chance. He'll be offered ridiculous money to go to Tassie

Farewell Clayton Oliver
Clarry was not close to BOG. He had it 27 times (if he did that in 2021-23 wed be wondering what he was carrying) for a grand total of 270m gained. He'll cover Tom Green's contested possessions but not much else

Farewell Christian Petracca
The way I see it, we got 11 years out of Trac. The last 2 might not have been great, but before that we got 2 BnFs, 4 AAs and a Norm Smith. If thats not good service, I'm not sure what is, and its honestly more than I thought we'd get when we drafted him (I always thought he'd leave after a few years because we weren't Collingwood). We then got 3 first round draft picks. He didn't hold us to ransom, we got good value for a guy who didn't want to be here anymore. I won't be cheering him, but I'll look more fondly on Trac than I will Jackson, McVee or Oliver. And at least he isn't playing for the Pies or Blues

Tasmanian AFL Team
Big fan of the jumper and glad they are sticking with the Tassie state team colours. Feels like a real club as opposed to a franchise like GC and GWS
