  1. Agree that Hunt was disappointing in his 3 appearances this year albeit 3 goals v the Blues. However he did kick 21.10 with 18 GA's in his 21 games last year. Offers more than Spargs IMO.
  2. Like all DL'ers I have NFI what the FD see in Charlie. 27 games averaging less than one goal and one goal assist per game.
  3. Hopefully we won't see the clips of Gus sitting despondently on the bench for long periods. Weid and LJ to take advantage of Gus's delivery into the forward 50. Has to be Sparg's last chance with Bennell, Bedford, JJ, Hannan, Chandler and even Hunt capable of taking his place.
  4. "... The Roos spearhead limped off with help from trainers after he landed awkwardly after being tackled by Cats defender Mark Blicavs. Brown had his left knee heavily strapped and despite initial reports he would play on he has been ruled out of the remainder of the match. ..."
  5. Will not happen for two reasons: the backline is travelling OK partic since OMac has returned TMac has been played as a forward for more than 2 years. No way will he be switched mid-season
  6. No 'urgency' from Brayshaw. I haven't heard Goodwin explain why he spends so much time off the ground. Game has gone past Nev. Out: Jetta, Brayshaw In: Rivers, Sparrow Lucky: Lockhart (possible replacement: Hunt) Jackson and Kosi must stay
  7. Neale 166 games 87:58, Adam Treloar also 166 games 96:84. Clarry 88 games 26:20. Trac 91 games 85:56 and has maintained his average since playing more mid-field (6 games for 6 goals)
  8. I'm getting nervous thinking what Charlie Cameron could do to us. I'm not sure Salem or Hibberd have the pace. I know Hunt's form is down but I'd be tempted to play him or Rivers to 'wear' Cameron. Another option would be Werridee's line up but swapping Harmes and Salem.
  9. Turn the bloody music down
  10. Agree. I seem to recall Big Boy at the least halving the contests with Max in the past. Having said that there is an element of robbing Peter to pay Paul in that, from all reports, McEvoy has been doing alright in the back line. Without TMac the last thing we would have wanted is the Hawks having another tall intercept marker.
  11. Occasionally May feigned that he intended to kick it to the right only to kick left and close to the boundary line. For goodness sake, let's mix it up and even try the long bomb down the guts once or twice a game.
  12. Weid, Oscar and Harley justified their inclusion. I can't say that about Nev. More than once he flew for the ball against one or two team mates. I know we need some continuity in selection but I'd be tempted to drop Nev before Lockhart.
  13. My 5 leg multi gets up. $120 for $10 outlay.
  14. Bennell kicks this and I win $100
  15. Jetta drops a chest mark and then has his tackle broken. He's a deadset liability.
  16. Correct on most points IMO. However: FD will not move TMac back after playing him all pre-season (and last 2 years) as a forward. I'd give Hannan another couple of runs. Others I'd drop before him. I've been very disappointed with Weid's performance in the ruck. He doesn't jump and he's too easily bodied off the ball. Tomlinson ruck effort poor on Sunday. May need to be TMac that relieves Max. Max down fwd may be a good thing.
  17. I had a $10 five game multi, 4 legs in and in line to collect $257 if the Dees had won. The club would have got $150 of that. Sick to the back teeth of the cr@p we dish up week in, week out. Have followed the club for more than 60 years and know I won't see another flag. The only thing I'd miss if the club folded would be the camaraderie of my M9 mates who I only see at the games. I'd happily chip in $1k if it meant we could replace Goodwin with Clarko or even Lyon.
  18. I reside in Cat territory. They've never liked him from the get-go.
  19. Hard to watch that vision of Howe's knee giving way.
  20. Geez I hope not. Doubt I could bring myself to cheer for that bloke.
  21. I can't believe D'landers saying Nev 'hasn't been great' or 'sub par'. Face facts guys, he's been shocking. Ryan booted 3.3 against him and it should have been 6.0. Nev was little better against the Blues, constantly beaten to the ball. I love the bloke, but he's going to struggle to regain his spot. Tmac similarly needs a rocket up his backside. He's only keeping his spot on the back of his size. Less than 3 goals and he'll get the chop IMO.
