MFC membership levels for noobs
I also have this membership and feel it's good value. Around $800 per year and I pay by direct debit. Access to all MCG and Docklands games, a seat on level one and access to the Hassett and Ryder rooms for home games. Includes a GFG (I doubt I'll need that in the next 10 years). Seating is N1 - N4 but it's usually possible to sit closer to the wing. Having said all that I generally stand in bay 13 (M9) with the riff-raff.

Lamb said as much on SEN. Said CJ would be playing in defence. 'Lost' when played on the wing.

Realistic 23 for 2026
I don't care who plays where except for JvR - I do not want him rucking. CHF with Mihocek at FF. A decent, experienced forwards coach (Hawkins?) teaching him the craft. Failing this we'll see a replay of this season - with less goals.

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
I've no doubt that JT et al would have worked out the various scenarios as soon as the Suns acquired pick 8. They knew we had no hope of getting BH, so the plan would have been 'OK, we can get 7, 8 and, say, request F1, and use those picks on players A and B or tade our picks for ... in the hope we get player C"

Welcome to Demonland: Picks 7 & 8
I've mentioned this before. You can't create a list spot by paying out or delising a player. McAdam is contracted for next year. He's on our list regardless of what he does, or what we do. My understanding is that the AFL made an exemption in the case of Gus as he was 'delisted' by them.

Does trench warfare with the Demon Army count?

2025 Player Reviews: #40 Taj Woewodin
Agree. We're already 'carrying' too many players who'll play a few, if any, senior games - McAdam, Laurie, Henderson, Sharp, Johnson, Campbell, and Jefferson.

Assistant Coaches in 2026
Does he have four teenagers including two budding footballers? Maybe a house in Melbourne?

Assistant Coaches in 2026
I utilise that mode of transport frequently (every Dees game in Melbourne). It's a solid two hours each way. Matt would be traveling 4 hours to conduct 90 mins (?) of drills. Also Matt is heavily involved with his local club where his two boys (13 and 14 and 191 and 193cm) play. Harry (14) won the league B&F (div 1). He'll be at Geelong Falcons very soon. Younger boy Oliver also a talent. I just reckon Matt would have more interest in the progress of his boys (and twin daughters) than the likes of JvR, Jeffo et al. Not enough hours in the day I reckon. May last one year. Just my opinion.

Assistant Coaches in 2026
If you're driving from Torquay to Richmond you'd want to leave by 6am. Later than that and you hit a log jam at Point Cook. It can take 2 hours to get to Gosch's from there. A similar nightmare getting home. Essentially a full day for 90 minutes of training. Casey? Forget it.

Assistant Coaches in 2026
I've no idea how Scarlett is planning to juggle his work/life balance. He has four teenagers including two budding footballers. He has a two hour drive to Gosch's paddock and more than three hours to Casey. An accident or traffic jam (not infrequent) and he'd be MIA.

Bailey Humphrey
It's explained in the BH thread. There's no way Suns will give up picks 6 & 7 and Humphrey simply for different picks. Also, the points the Suns require can be obtained reasonably easily, and certainly doesn't require the loss of a quality young player plus two high picks.
-
Bailey Humphrey
It's been explained, at least once on this board, that the Hawks have nothing to give other than picks, which the Suns don't want/need. Certainly no player of the calibre of Petracca.

Do we know Tim Lamb's handle on here? Demon_Forever

I would've thought you could under- spend and bank like the Saints have done for two or more years.

... How many times have seen contracted players request to trade only to not happen because the club hold all the power. ... and Petracca.

I'm tipping we roll over. The lids on the jars of Vaseline being loosened as we speak.

2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen
Mihocek may be OK for one season and would be a list clogger for his last two. Kicked 15 goals in his first seven games this year, and six goals in his last seven. He's done .

2025 Player Reviews: # 2 Jacob van Rooyen
I'm dead against bringing in Mihocek. I'd have TMac back to FF and JvR beside him or at CHF. No ruck work for JvR - full time forward to work on his positioning and contest work. Needs to start 'clunking' his marks - the key attribute of all good forwards.
-
Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
I've never heard May called lazy and soft. You don't get an All-Australian blazer (twice) with those 'attributes'. Mihocek has averaged 3 goals every 2 games over his career. I've no doubt May could manage that. My understandiing is that May started his footy as a forward.
