Maybe North see Daw as being Goldy's successor (the next NicNat)?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
I'm not sure if this has been posted, but it's a summary of his 3 seasons prior to 2018. I get the feeling that coming from a rugby league background he may not position himself all that well as he rarely gets into double figures for disposals at any level (3 from 8 AFL games) AFL http://www.aflplayerratings.com.au/Ratings/Player/121035/Braydon-PREUSS

I got it. But it's spelled Prius!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Trust me, if you're a surfer, as I am, you'll stay well away from a surf spot that has ideal waves day in, day out, if you can't surf.
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
Aside: Hogan is in Bali primarily to surf. That means his foot is 100% or close to it. Hogan may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he wouldn't risk a $million contract (from either club).

Speak to your postie - you've got the wrong mail.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Dangerfield was a RFA so the Crows could have kept him by matching the Cats offer. He was adamant that the Crows receive just compensation. Crows got pick 9 (Milera) and steak knives. I doubt that Crows fans held much of a grudge in that Dangerfield had served the club well for 8 years.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I read on some footy forum that sometimes a player will re-contract on the understanding that they will be traded if a trade is offered that appeals to both the player and the club. The reason a player may do that is because they believe their club will get better compensation than if they were out of contract. Dangerfield may have been a case in point.

1964 memories- calling our older supporters
MT - I guess that's Malcolm? I too was in the cheer squad from '62 - '69. A bit younger than most at the time (13 in '64). Knocked around with Dobbo and Ken. Great days.

Jayden Hunt
There are no 'off-field' issues. Early in the season Jayden was told he needed to work on the defensive side of his game and was given the feedback following one or two Casey games that the club was happy with how he'd gone. From what I can gather he was given mixed messages as far as his chances of getting a game if we made the finals ie prior to the WC game. I think Jayden is a 'confidence player' who wants the opportunity to show his skills (including the fact that he's addressed the long bombing. I sense, like Hoges, he gets down on himself at times (no smart alec stuff please).

Bernie Vince Retires
Spoke at the pre-match luncheon I attended on Sunday and was brilliant. Never took himself too seriously albeit gave his all on-field. I go the impression from his interview on SEN yesterday that his end as a player was on the cards. Thanks Bernie, and all the best for the future.

Bump. I'm sure Goodwin's comments on last night's OTC have been quoted. Please DL'ers, ignore this thread.

Sam Weideman
I reckon you're a little harsh. Sam has just turned 21 and, as we are repeatedly told, KPP's take longer to find their feet. I went to Brisvegas for our Suns' game and watched Sam closely. He held his own against Witts in the ruck and whilst his stats were low he did have 4 goal assists. Like most DL'ers, I've been less than impressed with Pedo this year.

Love his ability to kick either foot. That was part of Sam Mitchell's armoury. Milkshake also handy on his left.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
My mate played with Hird snr in he Dons VFL Reserves side in the 1960's. He also worked alongside him in the education department. Father and son had a falling out many years ago, partly as a result of Jim Bob's choice of a wife. They've been estranged for years. Essentially Hird snr is trying to curry favour with his son.

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
From The Age: "..as Melbourne Magistrates Court heard details of the seven charges laid against him which included the alleged trafficking of ecstasy and ice, each of which carry maximum jail terms of up to 15 years...." 7 x 15 = 105 years. I don't reckon he'll get that. On the upside, my mate learnt a trade during his time in the Big House. He's a tiler now (formerly an arsonist).

THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
IMO it's petty to be associating Geelong's success or Essendon's 'issues' with the trouble Thompson finds himself in. I learnt some time ago about Bomber and his tenants from a mate of mine who was a bikie in a former life.. It sounded like he (Thompson) was quite open in his dealings, and I'd be very surprised if many of his mates didn't know he dabbled. I was going to post four months back about what I'd heard from 'Bill' - a very reliable source, but could see no point. Bill was adamant Thompson would be charged.
