CHANGES: Rd 21 vs West Coast
No way should Hibberd take Bowey's spot. Hibbo has been poor this year. Fumbles have cost us goals and he is still bombing it. Bowey a much better distributor of the ball.

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs Gold Coast
Viney and Harmes deficient in the same areas - unable to break tackles, too often caught with the ball, and poor disposal. Jack will hold his spot on the back of his tackling. I think JJ offers more than Harmes. Re Langdon - he'll need to adapt his game when we play a K park where there are no wings (so to speak).

TEAMS: Rd 20 vs Gold Coast
I had hoped for exactly these changes, didn't expect them, and very happy to see them. Hibbo has struggled the last two weeks. His fumbles and a hand pass straight to an opponent cost us a goal against the Hawks. Sparrow's DE is well up (76%) albeit over 16 games. He's a pretty good kick for goal. Not unhappy LJ still in. He's not going to improve sitting on the sidelines (or playing VFL practice matches).

GAMEDAY: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Schache a strange selection. Has played 3 games since 2019, averaging 6 disposals. Furthermore, their back six is not overly tall - only two 'talls' - Keath (197) and Cordy (193). If Max or LJ stray forward the Dogs will struggle to find a match.

Membership 2021
I apologise if this has been covered elsewhere; does anyone know how many MFC memberships with a GFG have been sold? Disclosure: I've been a MFC member for close to 60 years and a Redlegs member (includes GFG) for 20 years.

Rd 19 vs Gold Coast in Darwin
I'm 20km down the road from Kardinia Park, although I doubt spectators will be allowed. It would be handy prep for our Cats game to play there. Both MCG and Marvel occupied Sat and Sunday, and the Dogs v Crows in Ballarat. Tassie the only other option altho' it could well close also.

NON MFC: Rd 17 2021
They do have some good young talent, but 5 of their best 6 (Ziebell, Cunnington, Tarrant, Goldy, Atley) are all on the wrong side of 30. Not unlike the Cats. A look at their best 6 every week and it's the same (old) names.

GAMEDAY: Rd 13 v Collingwood
Remember to take the plastic off the cheese. And 40/60, that's a fair sugar fix.

Tom Sparrow Unsung Hero
He was interviewed post-match on ch 7. Comes across as a ripping young man. Exactly as my mate (a Crows supporter) who taught him some 5 years ago, said he was. For those who missed the interview Tom said he was rapt to be playing on the likes of Fyfe and Neale. I think (and hope) he'll be with the MFC for quite a while. He's skilled and tough.

Farewell Sam Weideman
Sam has no excuses next Monday. Most likely get Roughead. I'd expect Weid to kick 3+ The Bombres the following match. Similar story.

POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Getting better each week. Could teach a few how to one-grab mark (Weid, ...).

CHANGES: Rd 12 vs Brisbane
Agree. We have to show some faith in Weid. IMO he's a confidence player. Probably 3 or 4 missed marks on Friday were 'nearlies' including the very first centre clearance (that Harmes goaled from). I don't recall him '2 grabbing' marks in the 2018 finals (Cats and Hawks). Weid is the future. BBB ain't.

Eight Dees in Robbo's All-Australian team
"Even former Demons skipper David Neitz was initially surprised at the number, until he was asked to pass opinion on whether each of them deserved their position. Jake Lever? “Yes, he gets a tick.” Steven May? “He gets a tick.” Christian Salem? “Great distributor, it’s hard to go past him.’’ Ed Langdon? “The wing position is such a pivotal spot and he plays it really well. He’s up and back and everywhere, he’s been fantastic.’’ Max Gawn? “Yep, very comfortably in the team.’’ Get BINGE Basic from only $10/mth Clayton Oliver? “Also extremely comfortable in that team.’’ Tom McDonald? “What a story. Everyone thought he was shot at the end of last year and it’s been a credit to himself. I love seeing it.’’ Christian Petracca? “Yes.’’ “You could make case for each of them,’’ Neitz said. ...
