  1. He's an Adelaide boy right? Could be tough..
  2. I wouldn't go to North, as has already been said, how much longer do they have to go? That 'window' is closing quick. Will Richmond ever get there? Our boys need to sell the Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca, Hogan story... its not nothing, there is something in that which must start to seem very appealing to any aspirant!
  3. If Richmond and North are offering 5/6 year deals, we better bloody well have a 7 year deal with even bigger money in front of him. Salem and Hartlett off half back with both capable of pushing in to the middle.. so good.
  4. Let's face it, if he's genuinely available EVERYONE will be interested.
  5. I'm gonna try and hold my excitement until someone with some credibility come out and says its being discussed. So far all we have is dear old Demonland spawn 7 pages of speculation off very little more than a single unsubstantiated sentence. I love this time of year.
  6. Salary cap pressures - the only mildly logical reason.
  7. I think it has merit mate. Out of interest, what other readings are you referring to? Is this a rumour that's been repeated by actual AFL 'insiders'? I've been trawling the internet looking for some corroboration and have so far got nada. Big fan of this deal if it can get done. I rate Hartlett!
  8. I think this is more revealing about youre understanding mate. Sure, his disposal was less than average, but he wore walker like a blanket which is exactly his role. Was a key player (among so many others in an imperious performance) last night, good on him. I'm happy for him.
  9. You're allowed your opinion mate, but I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the: "This club is broken" (for speculated interest in a single player?? please) "Goodwin is a bad move" (absolutely no evidence of this whatsoever) "Don't arrive at the game until half time" "We're never getting any better" etc etc etc I know you weren't responsible for those last couple of posts, but your post was bang in line with the rest of the doomsday tripe peddled on here on a daily basis.
  10. I remember his name was floating around last year. Keen then, keen now. He's shown plenty, even at AFL level.
  11. I still think Roos likes what Watts can offer, but has now got the same frustration as the rest of us. To me the dropping was a deliberate statement, designed to linger as a thought in the back of Jack's mind until Rd 1 next year. Of course he'll trade him if the right deal comes along, but it won't be for peanuts. End of next year however, if he doesn't show up for the contest every single week, well then peanuts is maybe what we'll get.
  12. Anyone who says Scully had a bad year clearly didn't watch a single GWS game, he was very important in plenty of their wins. Will he get the same size contract? Of course not. Will he get a contract at all? Of course he will. To say otherwise is ridiculous. The constant Scully bashing is so tiresome. No one would've turned down the amount of money they threw at him. Back to the thread... would love to see Hampton at the Dees.
  13. I don't quite know how that can be based on anything other then pure subjective conjecture
  14. Then again.. Hogan said on 360 that he doesn't play well, then his week is generally pretty sh!t... Would much prefer that attitude. (Long term Watts supporter by the way)
  15. Man, I love silly season. I can see the value in Hartlett, played a lot across half back this year and is a pretty good kick. Responsible for quite a few of Port's attacking forays. Salem and Hartlett at HBF... sounds alright to me.
  16. I'm neither here nor there about the prospect of getting him, but I am stunned by the outright negativity by many on here. The bloke is a modern day legend who did some stuff no other player is capable of. Some of you guys are talking like we're trying to pull Tom Gillies out of retirement!
  17. I'm hoping that Frost can fill the role that Dawes currently inhabits, though I admit that his injury this year was far from ideal. Very similar body type to Josh Jenkins. Fast, powerful. The potential is there.
  18. Have found the criticism of JKH a touch narrow this year. He hasn't found it a lot, but he has had some very creative and damaging possessions. I'd much prefer that to the bloke who gets it twenty but passes it 2 meters to a bloke i trouble.
  19. In light of what happened in the final round, and the fact that Carlton will probably get # 2 as compensation for Kreuzer, I'd be fine if they got it. If the free agent compo wasn't in place, then I wouldn't support it. # 1 Brisbane # 2 Carlton
  20. Where are people watching this? Surprised it is not being shown through the AFL app.
  21. Yeah did seem like he got that knee very early and had to push through for most of the year, tough ask for the young fella and I reckon he acquitted himself well!
