  1. Has anyone seen Dayne Beams play with a tag?
  2. What has the world come to when we are rating the ability of a player based on DT score.
  3. Does anyone actually watch Port play? Travis Boak would immediately be our number 1 midfielder. Currently as the primary midfielder in a poor midfield group he has had 25+ possessions on 50% of his games played this year. 5 of 10 he has had minimum 4 tackles. 6 of 10 he has had minimum 4 clearances. I am not saying we should use it but anyone who thinks pick 4 is overs and a speculative kid makes more sense is kidding themselves.
  4. Ignoring the fact I have a TV with FOXTEL in my office. I am feeling a tad unwell and may need to stay home on Friday to offer this my full attention.
  5. Moloney will not be dropped. I am not a fan and agree he is frustrating when he tries to bust packs but he is starting to get the defensive aspects which dont come naturally to him as shown by his 5 tackles last weekend. McDonald was good on the weekend and Tapscott is no automatic selection. I would go with one change Clark for Martin. I am not a Martin fan but he is the best option and will remove the need to move Sellar from his key defensive post to ruck.
  6. Well that took the fun out of the rest of the year. Important with feet to be cautious and get it right.
  7. We had 40 more inside 50's. Enough said.
  8. 6. Jones 5. Watts 4. Grimes 3. Clark 2. Rivers 1. T-Mac
  9. Its windy with the threat of showers and our backline already looks too tall. I expect it will be a tall for one of them unless there is a late injury to be covered.
  10. Whilst not a banner I do like the underlying sentiment of this quote from Gary Lyon's article in todays Age. Scully was looking at a deal that would make him one of the highest-paid footballers in the history of AFL/VFL football. And all at the tender age of 19, or 20, depending on who you want to listen to, with just 31 promising, but not remarkable, games to his name Read more: http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/boy-who-climbed-giants-beanstalk-faces-demons-20120622-20tsk.html#ixzz1yezuCwdu
  11. Aside from Gysberts who was a cut above there is nothing there that looked worthy of AFL football. Granted the conditions were poor but the standard of game was appalling. Good to see Strauss get through the game. Stef Martin is a comedy act, for every good thing he does he'll do two things poor.
  12. Howe's year has been better and although not AA impact 3/10 for Jamar for me is light on. Magner has been no more than a 4/10
  13. Good summaries overall but I think some of your ratings are to much based on individual expectation rather than out put ie: rating Moloney 1/10 and Magner 6/10 to me is illogical. T-Mac's impact has been more than than Nicholson and I would argue has offered more than Garland who ignoring his forward cameo has been very poor this year.
  14. I think you have overrated McKenzie, underrated Watts and severely underrated Frawley who has not been beaten all year in a backline under immense pressure.
  15. This is great news. I am hoping that once the agreement to broadcast the Foxtel Cup goes that Fox Footy further increase their coverage of the U18 championships for all rounds as they have the rights to do this, I am pretty sure that has greater interest than finding the best second tier comp in Australia.
  16. First half of the year has been about both coach and player getting head around game plan. Now that they should have a good understanding I expect review for who stays and goes probably starts now based on rest of the year.
  17. I was disappointed in this as well however at the minute Sammy is a bit Hollywood or bust. I have a feeling this is about displaying non-negotiables which I suspect Blease is not high in and is having this ingrained into him.
  18. Clearly Boak for me. Our midfield needs mature class and he offers it.
  19. Sheedy has just done what he does best and poured life into a lifeless game. Good on him. I will applaud Tom every time he goes near the ball. The only thing that would have made this year worse so far would have been if we had paid him a fortune over 5 years and had to watch the performances he has put up so far. Thats without considering whether the Clark deal would still have been possible. We seriously dodged a bullett with that one.
  20. Looking at your side and basing it on who actually deserves a pass mark on their current performance at AFL level to mid season. FB: Frawley Rivers HB: Grimes Watts C: Foll: Jamar Jones McKenzie HF: Howe FF: Clark NB: I would add T-Mac to that side who I think has been excellent.
  21. He's played half a game and IF you were to attempt it I would be hitting up for Cameron over Patton.
  22. Bit rich for someone who cannot get a game for them. This will come down to him being out of contract and wanting more opportunity.
  23. I was at the Hall of Fame dinner last night and it was great to be there when an MFC boy was being inducted. The footage they showed of his playing days and his wifes acceptance speech were excellent. The event is being shown tonight at 10:30pm on FOX FOOTY for those who have access and are interested.
  24. After watching it on TV last night I thought there was nothing in it.
