Trial it for one game and see how he goes....

Empty the forward line out and clog up the opposition defence and see how he goes......

I don't remember Sylvia ever winning us a game of football, let alone a final.

Also don't remember him ever finishing in the top 5 in our B&F.

If you stop touching yourself for a minute, you'll see that McLean > Sylvia.

Not sure if it was last year or the year before, but he kicked 4 goals & had 20 odd touches with around 7 or 8 marks. I went home thinking that he'd finally arrived ... unfortunately I think it may have been a flash in the pan.

Unfortunately, the way Sylvia's career has panned out so far, near enough is just about good enough.

Keep Sylvia at half back he has tried every other position and failed. He should have been tried there ages ago. I would like to see Jones play more as a tagger. I feel sorry for McLean if he was in any other team he would be a star. I can't think of a player at his age that cops the best tagger week in week out the best players in every team are a lot older if he had quality players helping him out he would be doing what Johnstone is doing at Brisbane probably better actually. He showed what he is capable of when he wasn't tagged in the first half against Geelong getting 20 disposals. Why they thought Jones would be a more damaging player than McLean is beyond me?

I agree BigC. Leave him on the HBF. Gets to watch the play unfold and react rather than have to make the play which he doesn't work hard enough to do.

Plus he will get plenty of the ball playing down back for us this year and utilise his penetrating kicking to greater effect.

Looked better down back in the last qtr against North than in his previous 2 games this year

he's gotta play half back or midfield. very simple reason; if he plays on a forward flank he will have long periods when he is starved of the ball......not good for Col. He needs to be in thick of it at all times and improve his game that way. it will also help him build his engine to be able to play a variety of roles down the track. make him accoutable for a change, play him off half back, or as a tagger for short bursts.

There is one thing.. He is a pretty good mark.. say what you like and we all do..lol. BUt he can mark. We do have a problem spotting up someone coming out of defence.. what with our love-in with handballing into danger. Sylvia running off a half back flank as linkup does ( for me ) has merit
