At the moment it looks as though (even though i hate to say it) davey will spend a lot of his future in the midfield

also, i am expecting the retirments/delistings of neitz, robbo and yze at the end of this year which will allow youth to spend time in the forward line

FF: i would like to see Bate at FF, this will surprise people, and i may cop critisism for it, but somehow, i can see him becoming a legendary full forward

FP: marric should be a great crumber in the pocket

FP: AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE...enough said

i would love to have two crumbers in the forward line alongside the full forward

HFF: Pettard, love the kid, love him in the forward line and not the backline

CHF: Paul Johnson (if he does not work out as a ruck) or the Juice Newton if he gets his act togethor

HFF: Stefin Martin/Zomer...lets hope that they develop well with our two developmental coaches

all of these people are young and i can see in the future premiership side if they get their act togethor

No disrespect Nugget but you have got the rosiest of rose coloured glasses on. If Yze Magic decides to sub-contract out his previews, you should put your hand up for the gig. 'Twould make very positive reading.

Forward line isnt looking great when big Neita retires. Hopefully we draft a good sized forward in the upcoming draft to play FF or CHF. Will still be years off it though. Newton to play as either FF or CHF depending on others.

Maric to fill the crumber role. Bate and Sylvia to lead off the flanks and push into the midfield.

Doesnt look great when compareed to say the Hawks forward line of Buddy, Roughead, Boyle, Rioli, Williams etc

apart from buddy, who is a once in a lifetime draftee, i think our forward line that you have just gone through isnt that bad, and wont be that bad if there is good development and good delivery from the midfield

I don't think we have anyone that can even kick from outside fifty, and thats where we seem to feeding our forwards

What about that new boy? No 9...Neitz...yes that's his name. Look him up.

Bate and Dunn both can, which is why I want one of the two to play CHF.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
