we can be pretty certain that 1 or 2 from that list will be picked up by us at pick 14 or 21.

i'm hoping for Jarrod Grant at pick 14, the reviews i'v read on his are outstanding.

Tony Notte could be a goer at pick 21 also, if we decide for a key backman at 14

I'd be happy with any one of those guys with pick 14. Gourdis and Tarrant in particular.

Chris Kangars – Geelong Falcons, VIC, 193.1cm, 84.9kg, DOB 1/8/89

David Gourdis – Subiaco, WA, 192.4cm, 88.9kg, DOB 14/3/89

Didn't both of these guys miss out completely in the national draft?

I'm guessing we'll take a closer look in the next few weeks and see if they can be accomodated in our currently empty rookie list, or with the pre-season draft.

Interesting times, a lot of rookie potential still around, particularly athletes yet to transform into footballers.

More fun for the recruiting managers.

Again Kangars for me. worth th epunt. We need a shut down defender...who can outrun most forwards. yes he's raw.. and a little underdone.. but isnt this why ya get then young and build them ?

We must have depth in just about every position except FB at the moment !! Pick Kangars .. Im surprised to be honest that he's still there !!

yeah why not? however id like lots of talls to be taken as rookies so we can see what our development blokes can do with them

fair enough...not overly fussed how or when we get them....we just need some ( more than one ) as likely only one will rise to the top as they say!

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
