Well there you go. I'm still waiting on a response but he's probably blind now while watching the game.

Tonight I agree - plenty of rumours from Grand Final functions. For all I know he maybe linked to Hawthorn!

Any more word Deers?

You need to badger him ;)

He just called me for a good chat just then.

The function included Brian Taylor and all the of the MelbourneFC players, and again, BT was adamant that Judd was a Demon.

To me, a little boring ... because BT's already been dancing around the maypole about this for the past 24-36 hours.

But what got to me is my good mate had "1,000,000% confidence" that Judd is a Demon, I still quizzed him but he went on into a diatribe explaining how he is so sure of it, even promising to offload his bank account onto me if it does not eventuate. And he's a filthy rich person too.

I trust this man because on the Tuesday prior to Mark Williams' spilling the beans on Dean Bailey's appointment, he was 95% sure Melbourne had decided on Bailey. Why didn't I announce this on Demonology? He told me to shut up about it AND my computer was being fixed.

The day before Daniher announced that he would quit as Melbourne coach after the Essendon game, the good oil came from this mate that this would occur.

He also has given me early mail on other news involving other sports ... 3 days before it was announced that Pompeii Ruler would be out of the Spring, came the call from him telling me exactly that.

He has friends in high places - Steve Harris is one, the folks at Sport 927 are another. In this phone call he told me that he met the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum only a month ago.

I am sold. Make up your own mind, but I am sold.

EDIT: Oh, and I should let 'landists know - this is the first "rumour/speculation" I have added to the Chris Judd discussion ever since this whole debaccle began. Never started any discussion about a new rumour until now.

Sounds to be excellent news deers!

Has anyone waded through the mire at bigfooty lately to see if there aren't any "inside words" from my mate who knows eddie mceverywhere that all this dees talk is a wind-up and that he's going to the filth? Just need to know for my blood pressure/sanity.

PS. Tim_ could you fix 'ology - the suspense is killing me!

They've closed Sportsbet's market again.

I just spoke to a sportsbet rep. He confirmed betting was suspended on the basis that Judd was announcing his preferred club tomorrow.

I asked him if he knew the club and he replied "apparently he's going to name Collingwood, but that doesn't mean he'll get there".

I momentarily felt ill. That said, he may not know. It just may be an educated guess. Let's hope so.

I don't think it will be announced tomorrow, as much as I'd like to be put out of my misery asap.

The football world will be hungover and asleep.

Monday is the more plausible option.

And so is Melbourne.

This is terrible on so many levels, especially because I have to be at work tomorrow where I have no internet or radio access.

How would the sportsbet rep. know where Judd is doing btw?

I still don't know where all these Melbourne rumours are coming from, so I guess it is completely possible that Judd will indeed announce that Collingwood are his choice.

The sooner we know, the better. This suspense is eating away at me!

Wasn't Brian Taylor on the radio all morning? I've been told he said this on the radio again today.

Did they have the radio on at this function and that's where the info came from? jesus Chris, this is killing me.

No. Brian Taylor was at the MelbourneFC brunch.

How the fudge would some Sportsbet representative know anything about Judd's decision?

Still, I don't care anymore who he goes to. If he goes to Melbourne, I'm on Cloud 9, if he doesn't, I'm on Cloud 9 but being weighed down by a bulging wallet. :D

Someone I know was working at the G, and saw BT from 9am until approx 11:30am, at the G.

The Flemington function finished at 12.

The plot thickens...

Taylor was on the radio FROM 12. It's entirely plausible that he was at this function, and then on MMM from 12 onwards.

I'm going with Deers' mate, btw. Not some lowly sportsbet rep (no offence Hannabal if he's your mate).

I'm just relaying what I was told. I don't know the bloke and he may well be wrong.

Go with who you like.

Ok ok, I'm not having a dip at you mate. I just don't know how Deers' mate can be "1000000% confident" if he hasnt heard some sort of evidence. My confidence level has been fluctuating somewhere round about 80% in the past few days, so lord knows how you can get to 1000000 without some kind of proof.

I would think that some rep working the phones on GF night ain't going to know sh*t.

Also, are they the only ones framing a market for Judd? If you can bet on it elsewhere it would be very unprofessional to tell someone over the phone what the result is.

They aren't. But I have a feeling most of the others are closed.

There is a Melbourne fan on Big Footy who is claiming that this is the deal

"thats almost on the mark but the crows arent involved

TJ and Miller to Sydney

Picks 4 and 11 to West Coast

Judd to Melbourne

a lot less then WC want but thats what they have already agreed to

really surprised me when i heard it but its true"

He wanted to say something bigger than "one million percent" but couldn't think straight. He was trying to muster up words to explain how confident he was that I finally told him he made his point. It's like a tween trying to explain how they didn't do something ... they know they didn't do it but can't think of anything more to say to prove it - but they KNOW they didn't.

Making an announcement tomorrow is not out of the question, BTW.

It's as reliable as any source I've heard to far.

They could be right and they could be wrong.

I just find it strange that we haven't heard a Judd to Pies rumour in a couple of days, then all of a sudden this bloke thinks he is going to the Pies. You would think if he had that mail, quite a few others sure of hell would've, and there would have been a betting plunge and a few leaks already.

In other words, he'd stake his life on it? I might just have a bar of that if he turns out to be wrong

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th
