The Keith 'Bluey' Truscott medal is awarded to the best & fairest Melbourne player of the season.

The award was named in honor of the late Keith 'Bluey' Truscott, a former dual premiership player and World War II fighter ace killed in 1943.

It is a great honor to win this award due to 'Bluey' himself & the caliber of past winners.

As you can see, I big selection of extremely honorable players.

Who will be added to this list in 2007?

Will James McDonald take home two consecutive medals or will the youthful Nathan Jones take home the prize?

Or will it be another?

Your views would be appreciated.

Thank-you.

My tip would be James McDonald to just beat Nathan Jones. White, Green and Brown to round out the top 5.

If James McDonald was to win he will be the first player to win two in a row since Stynes in '96-'97 and the first player to win a second B&F since Viney in '98.

Green will captain next year in my opinion.

I would pick that too but apparently (from the guys on Demonland) he's not captain material.

Leadership skills aren't up to scratch or something...

if jeff white gets up there it's a disgrace, he's as soft as butter, and is not even effective with his hitouts. the only kicks he gets are sideways anyway.

i think jones deserves it, but am expecting a close one between he and junior. green to be third, has had some great games.

i dont that is fair at all to call jeff white soft. he bleeds for the MFC and to see how happy he was on his 250th proved to me that he is a valuable team man. i think he is as deserving as any to win the medal, although i think jones deserves it. i dont see why people have such as dislike for jeff white, a great servant

a great servant

I'm with you on that...

Don't worry - A lot of people on Demonland hate the "older" guys of Melbourne FC - They wish they could have a team full of "GARLAND"...

He has been a great servant & if he gets the "Bluey" - Good on him I say...

Colin Sylvia wont even finish in the Top 10, come on be realistic!

For mine: 1)Jones 2) Junior 3)White 4)Green 5)Brown

Brown Dog to take out best clubman one more time

Newton to get Most Improved

Petterd to get Best First Year Player

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
