I think Lynden Dunn has as much potential as just about any of our young players on our list.

Super competetive, smart, good hands and decision making in close, can play a defensive role as well as go foward and kick a goal.

He just needs to improve his consistency throughout the four quarters of a game, as he tends to go a little missing at the moment, but i predict he on the bubble of becoming one of our best players in the next 2-3 years.

I also believe he has leadership material written all over him, and don't think it would be a stretch to say he could be captian or vice -captain somewhere down the line.

Dunn gave away way too many free kicks yesterday. He's obviously still getting used to the "wear him like a glove" aspect as it's pretty new to him. If he can play tight without being all over the bloke then he has a big future.

interesting point. i noticed similar things, however i thought the umpires were way too aware of dunn yesterday. how many times are mclean, bruce and trapper help and pushed around packs without getting a free? how many times is neitz dragged to the ground allowing him to only get one hand up for the mark without getting a free. the umpires paid dunn too much attention yesterday for my liking...

however, if dunn is going to play that role, he needs to learn how to do it and look subtle. once you draw attention to it, you need to back off for a bit...

regarding dunn as a player, he seems really footy smart, he has all the athletic abilities, so its up to him what he becomes. i look forward to watching his development, but yes he could be a very good player eventually...

If he could improve his amrking overhead and specifically contested marking then he could be a very good forward and bloody hard to match up on because of his agility. At this stage I think he's been generally overrated by demon fans but he still has time to develop, he's still learning the game so there is hope.

Guys, I/we don't mind if threads naturally drift off topic (it's the natural way conversations flow), but can you please try to avoid changing the topic completely to something completely unrelated in the middle of a thread.

Ta.

Ummm how did they go off topic?

I would have to agree, like most of us that Dunn needs a bit more development and he will become one of our "needed" players.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
