This kicking into our 50 is like watching the Melbourne seniors from past years. Just bombing it in.

I was about to say the same thing. Terrible kicks and some really poor decision making is costing us. We're in touch because of some great individual efforts.

Footscray’s Lewis at FF is on fire with 5 goals, four in the quarter. L. Lual off with a concussion test as Casey struggles.

Siren and Casey down by 34 points at 3 quarter time

Footscray 14.17.101 lead Casey Demons 10.7.67

Goals Craven Pipicelli Stanley 2 Bonner Cheffers Cross Laurie

Disposals Bonner 27 Moniz-Wakefield 25 Heath 14 Laurie Taylor 13

Melksham still looking proppy.

haven't seen a minute, just scanning stats - are bonner and moniz-wakefield's kicking stats (18 and 20 respectively) inflated by returning the ball from footscray's 17 behinds?

AMW and Heath way too good for this level. Taylor will be a quick study, same Tommy Matthews. Onley’s lack of speed, urgency and physicality a big worry, but early doors of course. Mentha not enough impact, or presence. Jed Adams is excellent at times, horrible at others.

Casey down the rabbit hole with Lewis ? 6 goals.

I hope we never have to rely on Adams for a key defensive role.. just sayin’ for a friend

  • PREVIEW: Brisbnae

They really had me fooled when I picked them with great confidence to beat the Bombers at Gather Round last week. I should have recognised that nothing is more quintessentially Melbourne than defeating the undefeated early premiership favourite one week and losing to a winless cellar dweller on its way to establishing a record losing streak the next.

Melbourne’s much vaunted finishing power evaporated at Adelaide Oval on Saturday afternoon, exposed for the third time in four years by its Essendon Gather Round hoodoo.
