Trac looking fit and in prime condition will always be a top 5 player in the comp .

We just have to suck it up for now but know we will be stronger for it in the coming years as our youngsters develop.

    Suns look good buts Cats gave up on the flight up. Also easing into the year.

    Calling for Trac as an AA in the first half of the 0th round of the season is a bit premature.

    They’ll add fireworks and fire in a few years like Big Bash league has, and use it after every goal.

    Made me smile when I saw that Buckley was Geelong’s new defensive coach as the Suns piled on the goals in the opening quarter

    Sooooo glad we didn’t pick him up as our head coach.

    So trac on kings birthday last year could not hit a handball target in the dying stages but suddenly can kick 3 goals tonight.

    This Geelong team just looks so different, I know danger & cameron are missing but gee they look slow.

    Judas in a side that has taken 15 years to become good. The Man City of Aussie Rules. Just like how City were absolutely nothing as a club pre 2008, pre Arab oil money, the amount of aid and emergency help Gold Coast received from AFL handouts is nothing short of incompetence.

    I still don’t rate Man City as a club and I sure as hell do not rate Gold Coast either. If the AFL were the football/soccer model, Gold Coast would have died 5 years into their existence.

      Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.
