Clarko to be sacked mid year.

Yep, first to go

Impressed by Max Heath. Doing really well against Xerri who is a very good ruckman.

Hi all stuck at work, would appreciate score updates if possible please.

Great to hear. I reckon we've found our Gawn replacement here for peanuts. Moose is big, competes well and seems to have strong hands in marking contests too. With further development under Gawn and exposure at the top level, I reckon he'll become our number one ruckman in about two years time as Gawn retires.
Kalani looks good up forward, so hopefully can develop to be the tall forward/second ruck clubs love.

End of 1st quarter 6.4 to 2.3.

Kozzy and Mihocek a couple each.

Norf have missed a few sitters

Speed we look quick, foot speed and ball movement. Across all lines we have speed which we haven't seen for a long time

Entertaining movement by the Dees.

CJ giving great drive and Steele looking impressive .

Kozzie is enjoying himself and it was a thrill to see the 2 cousins interacting with the ball movement

Kozzy looking classy as usual. Really liking Moose and his efforts. Checkers makes our forward line look much better. I have prayed for times like these where we play with dash and dare

Heath looks really good. Much better out of the centre than the last few years. Full back might be an issue - TMac will struggle against the gorillas

You can clearly see our game plan is based on quick transition from half back. At this stage we might not have the kicking skills to do it consistently but it is there to see.

Lever, TMac and Disco ruling the B50.

And North might be in some serious trouble. Once we take possession and add some pace to the transition, they are nowhere to be seen. They are only getting the ball back when we miss a target.

Heath the standout addition to our list so far.

Kozzie is a star.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.
