Confirmed by Troy Chaplin it's a broken arm, will have a plate put in and should only miss a couple of weeks.

Thank god for that - rest up Culley!

Yeah but didn't Cameron get the same in the GF and he's not back fully yet?

Told you not to panic 😜

When it comes to this team, I’m constantly in low level panic.

well at least with the arm, he can probably retain fitness and be ok in the early rounds.

I know Epworth are good with treating AFL players but I'm doubting he's been taken there, triaged and registered, x-rayed, diagnosed and had specific plans for surgery in the space of an hour and 15minutes since walking off the field.

Perhaps an educated guess from chappy on behalf of our medical team but I would wait until a proper injury report before getting my hopes up that it will only take him out for a few weeks.

They would easily be able rule out a shoulder. And know the tell tale signs of breaks. But yes you can never be 100% sure.

Is it worth starting the 2026 AFT Draft thread yet?

I actually struggle with these posts and not directed specifically at you but can’t get my head around posters who won’t get their hopes up until official medical report is released …

Yet have no issue assuming the worst case scenario until the official medical report is released

That's fair and I should have included in my post that there's still a reasonable chance it will be a short term injury.

My intent was more to plead for patience for those that may be celebrating that Culley has escaped serious injury prior to an official injury report.

Reporters holiday period runs from Oct 5 to Nov 16. You’re out of excuses and on notice.

Any actual news on how the rest of the team is looking?

I'm curious to see if any reports shed light on what Kings preferred 23 might look like.

Try 6 / 8 weeks

David King was going to training today, so hopefully we get a bit of insight without bias...

In other news how did the rest of the team fare??

  • REPORT: Carlton

The text messages started flooding in shortly after quarter time. One read: “Is Melbourne even at the ground?” Moments later, as Carlton’s Elijah Hollands kicked the first goal of the second term, the Blues held a commanding 43-point lead. By then, the Demons’ only score was a behind kicked by Brody Mihocek nearly five minutes into the game. Ironically, Mihocek would also register the last minor score of the day after the game took a dramatic turnaround.
