8am this morning at Demon House.

One of 2 things happening here;

  1. Bailey Humphrey (little fella) has arrived at which point JT has thrown his toys out of the cot upon the realisation that he isnโ€™t getting any new draft toys

  2. Little fella is actually the work experience kid (and not Bailey) and JT is rushing back to his laptop upon being informed that he needs to find some generational talent with picks 7 & 8 in the 2025 AFL draft.

Lol. That's not Bailey. ๐Ÿคฃ

Apparently Terry Wallace now also involved in this trade.

Will this thread exceed the 'Tom Scully is staying' or 'Josh Kennedy has accepted a four year deal at the Dee's it's done and will be announced any moment' threads?

Honestly, I've never understood some of the vitriolic criticism some people post about other people posting about things they've "heard".

I've always taken everything posted here with a grain of salt. If we get Humphrey, then great, if we don't, I hope we try to get best possible trade we can.

It seems they would prefer no rumours or news and can't get their hopes up for mental health reasons which I can understand being a Dee's supporter

If we are going to accept picks here the delaying might cost us a potential trade with those picks.

Bailey has said that he needs more gifs or he can't nominate us as his destination.

I love Tim Lamb swivelling like a cartoon detective.

Apparently Brand Humphrey wants Dee's coterie to help him start a cooking show online.

Bring from Moe we might have to check if itโ€™s food heโ€™s cooking before we invest in that

By far the most MFC thing to do would be to get an agreement in place but send the fax too late thus miss out on trading for Humphrey. (That happened 20-odd years ago from memory)

The worst bit is, someone would then realise thereโ€™s this thing called email and so they quickly put together the email and send it to AFL house. Only to realise at 7:31pm that the MFC email only sends emails during the hours of 9am-5:30pm to protect their employees from themselves.

For those that follow the round ball game, this is literally David de gea to Madrid all over again ๐Ÿ˜‚

When Gold Coast hoist the premiership cup in September next year, I do hope they acknowledge us for helping in their list build.

So many posters on here seem to think that GCS are refusing to trade Humphrey to us, but I would have to ask, where has Humphrey said that he is keen and willing to be involved in a trade to the Melbourne Football Club? Yes, he has hinted at a desire to return to Victoria, but Iโ€™m sure that if Hawthorn were not chasing Merrett, or if the Merrett deal fell through, then he would have been nominating them due to the relationship they had developed previously (they had talked well before us), not to mention the fact that they are a much more desirable destination. Why would he nominate a club he had no desire to play for?

And to all of the posters wringing their hands over a deal involving picks 7 & 8, and how we are being bent over, I suggest you pay a visit to the Chris Judd Wiki page for a little perspective and a big wake up call.

Iโ€™d love to see Humphrey coming to us as much as the next person, but seriously, a reality check is in order here.

Word is he wants to come home and doesn't care who the team is.

Even if it's us.

Not a murmur in the media. Iโ€™m Loving all the intel but im not convinced at all that Humphrey is as keen to move as some think. I just donโ€™t see the pressure being applied.

Our recent assistant/development coaching appointments might help sway him our way

Word according to who? Where has that been stated?

I didnโ€™t really believe it until I saw the comments from his friend. Itโ€™s clear he wants out but to us I donโ€™t knowโ€ฆ

Too many people on here pinning their hopes, dreams and unrealistic wishes on the word of a stranger on here yet there is absolutely no media attention around Bailey Humphrey being desperate to return home.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: # 1 Steven Mayย

The premiership defender has shown signs of wear and tear due to age, and his 2025 season was inconsistent, ending poorly with a suspension and a noticeable decline in performance. The Demons are eager to integrate younger players onto their list and have indicated that they may not be able to guarantee him senior games next season, in what would be the final year of his contract.

The young key tall failed to make progress during the season, with a decline in his goal kicking output. His secondary role as a backup ruckman, which may have hindered his ability to further develop his game, and he was also impacted by the team's poor forward connection. It will be interesting to observe his performance under a new coaching regime.
