scott is a fantastic coach. we wouldn't be languishing in the bottom half if he was in charge

they probably won't appreciate him until he's gone and he's replaced by a mediocre coach

I rate him also , esp on match days. But he should be with the club facilities, salary cap rots etc etc. Feedback to me is that nowehere near the level of success has been achieved that should follow.

But its amazing, esp in Geelong ,what many cats fans say to me. Just reporting the facts ma'am.

Now, @No. 31, despite being a diehard Carlton fan, you’ve been magnanimously accepted by us coz you seem to be a nice person. But… methinks you’re pushing the boundaries here 🤨

Speak for yourself I certainly haven’t accepted @No. 31, anything Carlton can get in the bin.

of course that’s worse. duh

i was just wondering how cats fans felt if being so close so many years and not winning

Just banter mate, their fans would be saying it’s great as they haven’t bottomed out since winning the flag in 07 & their lowest is 10th and missed finals twice with 4 flags

No. 31 speaks very well of us, more positive than many Dees supporters. I think the exemption is warranted.

But yeah, I guess I am just speaking for myself. I masqueraded as a Blues fan for 20 years. And not casually either, I went to every Carlton match, countless finals and a couple of grand finals. Hells, as a kid I wore a Bruce 11 Doull duffel coat everywhere. So there’s no way I can ever hate Carlton.

Genuinely annoying that the Melb v Dogs GF was in Perth. Two teams that aren't there that often and two Melb clubs (I'd count Geelong as Victorian but not a Melbourne club). The last time a GF was like that was 2010 (Pies v Saints).

Another Geelong grand final is just becoming boring.

You’re the one who needs to wake up, Fence. How do you explain Geelong’s ability to draft in all the big names without breaching the salary cap? And that’s just for starters.

I’m quite sure we’d have way more success if we were given a leg-up in almost every respect.

IF, our football administration, both on and of field was up to scratch

Hope you watched the videos – not just the wiki! Had to turn it off rather than seeing Esther get BOG.

If he gets suspended for that play the grand final in dresses.

Mabior got three weeks. Geelong players better get cracking… dress shopping isn’t something done in five minutes.

Actually, some can wear their partners’ Brownlow gowns, saving time and money 😜

I still remember you posting a long time ago you were a Carlton fan, still haven’t embraced you either.

Tracc in a 2021 mindset can certainly do what Danger did last night. The big question is whether he will have that hunger again with the MFC.

If he was capable of that mindset in 2021, he’s still capable of it now. The hunger isn’t gone , it just needs the right environment and leadership to unlock it again. That’s exactly what King and the reset are here for.

It's an embarrassment to the game full stop.

I wasn’t a Carlton fan… I posed as one. There’s a distinction. My heart may’ve appeared navy blue but in reality it was always red and blue.

Agree , cats long term success goes back to strategies put in place when the expansion clubs come in that they wouldn’t bottom out to rebuild..they trade in the best free agents which in itself a real issues to the competition as the best will end to 4-5 teams who will dominate. Will up to our 4 president & 3rd CEO by 2026, stability & planning linked to success

Can’t see what the hell Chol was supposed to do– TS was leading with his head!

3 weeks for Chol (official just announced on AFL website)

Nup sorry don't agree with that. Unfortunate stewart got concussed but come on that's not 3 weeks

Just arrived in Mildura for the first leg of our road trip up to Noosa, will celebrate my pending 80th birthday with my extended family tomorrow then head off to Forbes on Tuesday morning. We have settled into our accomodation and getting ready to watch the game, Go Lions.👍😁

pretty sure if Goody made 8 prelims for only 1 flag there would be a thread on here wanting him out 😂

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
