Is apparently at home tonight considering it (what exactly "it" is, I'm not sure) and they'll announce the formal review tomorrow.

From what I understand, it is more of a blueprint for what a new coach will have to go through to get the job, or what Daniher will have to agree to do if he wants to coach us next year.

Despite what Caroline Wilson said, I think Gardner and the entire club is handling this situation pretty well.

It could have got much uglier, much sooner.

Better to get the review done early, so if the decision ends up being that ND isn't right going forward, we can get on with it.

It will also test ND's resolve, and whether he truly wants to coach next year.

If he does, he will jump through the hoops.

Interesting times ahead!

Too early for Voss IMO.........you don't just walk into AFL coaching roles without putting in the hard yards.........and good luck getting total respect from players you played against not too long ago!

Voss already has a back room staff already in his mind so if he was offered a job that he would have a lot already researched.

I must admit im really warming to him.

Me too! Anything new...anything at all!

Just think of what he could do with the team...

I just hope this reviewing process Paul Gardiner decided to throw at Neale mid season doesnt derail our season further. It's unfair for Neale, and unfair for the members.

I'll be tipping Melbourne to win on Friday night on the big stage and Neale to stay on as coach...Go Dees.

Actually I think someone who you watched bust his gut and do all the great team things he did week in week out, you would have a massive amount of respect.

I think respect is one thing Voss would not need, he already demands it.

i don't think michael voss would find it hard to get respect from players, especially those that saw him first hand. but i do agree that coaches need some level of seperation, and perhaps it is too soon after his playing days to effectively step into not just the position of coach, but the role as well.

My tip

Daniher is gone - Connolly might be in although they'll wait until the end of the year (Brett Lovett as assistant) - Gary Lyon on the Board - Schwartz also to be more involved - some senior Melbourne influencers have had enough and Friday night was the last straw - very angry people apparently

In the words of Voss: extraordinary things happen because we do them when others don't think we can.

He can be a senior coach next year, and I would back our club 110% if they chose to appoint him.

He's a risk, just as any other appointment would be, but if the risk of his appointment comes off, it'll come off in a huge way!

Oh, and if we get Chris Connolly, I may just have to shoot myself. We want someone ruthless, someone different. Connolly is Daniher wearing purple.

Connolly? Are you serious? There'll be no premierships or finals for another 150 years.

Neale Daniher first pick....Todd Viney, Brett Lovett or Garry Lyon.

The season is completely derailed!

You don't get flogged by the bottom team if your on track.

It's not unfair on Neale at all............if he cannot get enough spark out of the group to get up for a Friday night game, after having had the pathetic season we have had to date, then unfortunately he and the group deserve the scrutiny.

It's definitely not unfair to members...........what's unfair is watching dispirited, weak and unaccountable football this season.

No no no no no. Please not Connolly. We need people with a history of flags(not Blight though) who know what type of work, commitment , person/people, to earn a premiership. If that person is Voss, O'Donnell, Harvey, Longmire, McKenna, I don't care if they haven't coached at senior level or not.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
