Would definitely be a good get! Only knock on him is he averages less than a goal a game. But 24, super athletic.

has never had a consistent run at it

reckon he could be good

Well done Harmesy!!

He could always finish

being a consistent performer was the issue

Hunner percent. Tough competition with Hogan, Riccardi and Stringer in that forward line.

To think we let Harmes go and kept Hunter

Kennedy is in the top 40 players in the league this year, I was pretty surprised that Carlton let him go.

How’s the KPF depth at Doggies.

JUH out for a KPD will do the dogs a lot of good. They won’t win a flag without a proper full back.

The guy I think we got wrong and I always had a lot of time for (and was one of our few goalkicking midfielders) is Harmes. We miss what he can provide, plus another around the ground mid rotation. I'd have him ahead of Sharp for example.

Of course Harmes was a considered a liability , banished to Casey and told to seek opportunities elsewhere.

After signing with the Dogs … “I felt like I could really belong to this club and feel like they really believed in me. They do believe in me that I can be a really good AFL footballer”.

Traded to Dogs in exchange for a future third-round pick (which the Dees used with future 1st in a 4 pick bundle to get higher draft pick in 2024 draft)

3/4 time Dogs v Giants

Harmes 4 goals 15 possessions, 80% disposal efficiency, 10 score involvements

I assume you are intelligent person

Harmes left as he couldn’t hold down a spot in the 22. Same as he has been dropped by the dogs. If you don’t remember all his poor games, I can refresh your memory

Hunter was brought in to fill a hole on the wing

2 separate situations

I understand his trading was cultural, but still...

you just forgot to mention he only managed 9 games last year and has been dropped multiple times

So banished to Casey and to the Dogs VFL team so maybe a Harmes issue

Dogs got Cooper Hynes too. Would have loved him.

one premiership between em

Harmes 4 goals V GWS. Very pleased for him. He turned the '21 GF with his beautiful pass to Fritter in Q3.

Not sure why we let harmes go and then replaced him with players like billings, hunter and sharp

The players we’ve traded in have been a massive failure no doubt, but we traded out Harmes at the end of 2023 and if you look at player ratings that year, he was rated 30th out of a possible 34 players on our list.

So Beveridge couldn’t win a friend last year ..supporters wanted him gone ..media said he was gone (multiple times) club hasn’t committed to a longer contract ..all of a sudden this year ..he’s a genius ..,parallels anyone 🤨.

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
