Sidebottom a meter+ over the mark against Goldstein there. Umps say nothing. Imagine our blokes doing that "50!" which would end up becoming 70 meters and an easy shot at goal

    Problem is the Pies are so hard to beat at the MCG, particularly in finals.

    They truly have have the inside running to win the flag if they finish top 2, or play week 1 at the MCG as the ‘away’ team (by finishing 3rd or 4th).

    It'll depend very much on how the old bodies hold up over a season, both for injuries and fatigue.

    I still think they are very suspect. Brittle enough to not even reach finals. #bigcall

    Yeah I’m being a bit tongue in cheek. They’re not head and shoulders above everyone else. Bears/GWS aren’t playing their best, Crows look dangerous. Geelong are Geelong.

    A lot of footy still to go this season.

    Yep I agree with this. They do play a winning style of footy, however their game is very taxing on the older bodies.

    I can’t see Pendles and SideBottom which are relied upon staying fresh through the whole season. Pendles already coming in off the bench is starting to show his age.

    Underestimate Collingwood at your peril

    I see them playing a GF again

    Which they’ll win cause the umpires and entire league is arranged around ensuring they receive favourable umpiring , treatment at the tribunal , etc etc

    It’s cruelled my interest in the game tbh

    Super, I hold a different view. I suspect some of their older players will be found out over the course of a long season. At least I hope so.

    Plus crowd support and as a result, umpiring favour.

    Unless the opposition is winning by 40 points at 3/4 time, you know the umpires will bring them back into it
