I have tried to follow what you mean, but it is not clear from your fragmentary posts and repeated 'what's not clear' comments. Sorry if I am so thick. I don't know whether your are refering to Oliver or someone else when you say 'him' - earlier posts seem contradictory.

Instead of saying 'read my posts' how about you please make a new post stating:

1. I heard the following on day A when I was at X with Y. If you can't give names, then categories, eg players, coaches, family members of them, etc

IMO the list problem is that we have both Viney and Clarry and we don't need both, and really need to stop playing both moving forward. Neither can play anywhere other than inside mid which is hurting us twice - we can't compete with better midfields because we're too inside and too slow, and we can't get as many midfield minutes into the likes of Windsor, Rivers, Langford and Lindsay.

Trac is complimentary, given his ability to go forward. Yes, in 2025 his kicking was awful, and it may remain that way, but with a new coach, a more dynamic midfield and a forward structure which holds its position more than we've been inclined to do under Goodwin, I'm hopeful Trac can return to being closer to the dynamic centre-forward beast he was up to KB last year.

Like, surely Bucks will have an opinion either way, and that opinion would hold some weight. Maybe Ken Hinkley thinks Clarry can get back to his best, maybe Danny Daly thinks his issues outweigh any pros. Maybe, ok you get the picture.

If we ship Clarry out for nothing, after carrying hik in the team for the last 2 years and just when he is starting to come good, I'll be furious.

Unless he is the start and end of our cultural problems, which he isn't, or we are clearing cap space for a particular player, we'd be crazy to trade him for peanuts which is all we'd get.

Exactly how I feel about it too ! It could bite us hard if we trade him for not much and he does look like he getting back to his best

We have been in a holding pattern for 2 years on Clarry. If he was going to 'come good' i think we would have seen something by now. Last year was due to 'missed preseason' and i recalled the pre-season game against Freo and thought, yep Clarry is back. But it has been a different Clarry since he done his hammy back in '23.

I do want him to come good as we know the type of player he can be. Even in the modern game, he still has the abiltiy to turn games on their head.

I just dont think it will happen - he will have a good game now and then, but i doubt it will be consistent.

His whole fall-from-grace, does fascinate me (when im not frustrated by it). Is it body, mind, skillset, game-style... would love to know.

I think we have seen an uptick in the last few weeks. I don't know if its sustainable, but if we were going to offload him for a packet of chips we should have done it last year

This sums it up in a nutshell and what many have been crying out for years post 2021.

You can't have Viney & Clarry in at CBs at the same time.

It's a recipe for a belting out of the middle and even at around ground stoppages.

Watching the oppo waltz away so easily and win so many clearances with Max being the best tap ruck in the business is the definition of football insanity. Yet we persisted with it for three more seasons after it was past its used by from approx 2023 onwards.

It'll be interesting to see what a new coach feels about this during 2026 (assuming the two players in question remain team mates).

Agree, plenty of tackling machines about. Viney needs to find half a yard of pace in that first 10 meters to be worthy of a significant CB gig from here. If he can't find that we would be much better served persisting with the likes of Culley or looking for other options.

The pace might serve him to distribute the ball with alot more polish. Vs at present, a black belt in ball butchering as he is almost always under the pump as soon as he grabs the pill.

Not writing him off completely but to me his days as an effective impact inside mid are, at best at the crossroads and at worst he is potentially gawnsky.
