You’re assuming that it’s a case of Kingy having to talk Tracc into staying. I’m guessing your assumption is based on the media reporting that Tracc wants to go to Hawthorn or Carlton or Adelaide or whatever club is next on the list and that the club is open to trading him. All this without our new coach having talked to Tracc.

All well and good, but I don't really care to be honest. He has become a narcissist and is a very poor example for our younger players. He gets paid too much to hold our great club at ransom the way he has been last few years and he doesn't even back it up with consistent performance on the field.

Trac has become toxic for our culture, [censored] him off for pennies on the dollar for all I care.

The draft is not necessarily weak but just doesn’t have the top end talent as last year.

He’ll be another year older, I think it’s now of never. As for a stronger draft, there’s Logan Morris is every draft, we just to find him.

i agree totally with mousymoo (think that was the name).. if we get paid (picks or players) then ship him out and evolve. however, should he stay, i can imagine him receiving handballs on and hoofing it down to Roo & Mihochek (quick ball). potentially.. as he has had years to improve his kicking (for goal and inside 50) and hasn't. maybe just long bombs when the forward line is open and the oppo's defence hasn't had time to get settled is a good use of him?

I’ve not seen that reported in the media and I’m guessing what’s reported in the media is what forms the basis of your opinion. If not the media, how else did you come to this conclusion (a conclusion which btw is incorrect).

He signed a monster contract and took a kings ransom then proceeded to act like a petulant child by exploring trades. He refuses to address media speculation and clearly isn't committed to the club. As the highest paid player on our list, this is toxic.

This is a football club, not a family. I couldn’t care less about past mistakes, players sad feelings when the chips are down or anything other than looking forward and winning games with a team of players that are fully invested.

No one is bigger than the club, near death experience or not.

Trac was my favourite player for a long time, but I or anyone would be naive to think he is 100% committed to us. As Smokey said he has the chance to publicly state he doesn't want to go anywhere and it hasn't and will not happen until at least the trade period is over.

I'm not a believer in anyone who's not fully invested to be at the club no matter how good you are.

he had a dreadful injury. no disputing that

there was a lot of talk about the medical treatment he received and whether our medical team were negligent/incompetent. I happen to know the current head medic at an AFL club. He said no way could he fault the medical team for their response.

so what did we do exactly that vindicated his desire to leave. Roffey didn't show him enough love or pay a visit to the hospital?

I would tell him he is going nowhere so get your agent to ready some quotes about wanting to stay.

And what a callous bloody outlook you have. Footy may be a business but how you treat people and care for them is literally what the people that turned this footy club around preached for years.

Paul Roos made a brand out of it and we have so abandoned that ‘care’ that we don’t even know what makes a good club anymore.

Let’s hope Guerra, King, Smith, and whoever replaces Richardson give a flying f.

Calling a bloke who almost died wearing our jumper ‘toxic’ is cheap. Easy to sit behind a keyboard and forget he’s carried this side through games where others went missing, and finished 2nd in the B&F only a few weeks ago. If that’s ‘not backing it up,’ then half the comp should be ashamed. Trade him for pennies? That’s how you destroy culture, not save it. Respect goes both ways.

Demonland, might be worth looking into Oliver. On 3AW rumour file, he’s been seen meeting with Carlton personnel and might be on the move..
