The articles on Tracc are absolutely useless. None ever offer any decent ideas on what we mightaccept in a trade. Ralph's suggestions are completely laughable. Giving up a Norm Smith Medalist for a bag of chips in a [censored] draft...paaalleeeeeaassssse.

The media are willing this to happen and it creates clicks. I am over the Petracca distraction though. Hre really has dragged the club through the mud. After all, "it's his (my) job". That statement tells me all. The Club itself means nothing to him anymore. He disrespects the fans. He once told us that a win was for everyone "who'd ever been embarrassed to wear the colours" - I've never been embarrassed of who I support..frustrated..not embarrassed. He is at fault in creating moments of embrassment though. His kicking is diabolical and cost us on many occasions. None more than the Carlton final.

Just find a suitor and make it work for us. Do NOT entertain a fire dale.

All speculation. I guess its water off a ducks back for players and clubs by now.

Some chance maybe that Yze and Tigers may be interested. They have good draft capital and would be only to happy to give up pick 2 or 3 plus ? for Tracc.

Would he want the Tigers though??

Pick #2 or #3 for a nearly 30 year old with a battered body?

Where do we sign up?

Do you really think we'd give up Tracc for pick six and flanders AND pay 400K of his salary (would have to be multiple years)?

The only possible world in which we would do so is we desperately wanted him gone because of Baliey Smith level behavioral issues - and no one is suggesting tracc is in that boat.

I think that’s a fair deal. If we want to get good picks/player coming our way in the Trac deal then we are going to have pay a chunk of his wages.

The cost to pay Flanders and a top ten draft pick would leave enough change out of what we are currently paying Trac to cover our end.

Trac gets a shot a final/flag and chance to build his brand somewhere else, Suns( or Crows get player in to help them win now and we get two players ( back JT to get a good one with a top 10 pick either in this draft or the next) that will hopefully be around for the next 10 years.

We have a great young crop but I would still like us to add more A grade young talent.

If we can get a best 22 player and a top 10 pick I’m happy to cover some of his wages.

If Trac goes, I think people are going to be disappointed what we get back. A couple of weeks ago, Cal T. was saying we could get a top 10 pick for him, in this bad draft, and that’s it.

Funny how only a few of us defend a bloke who literally put his body — almost his life — on the line for this club. You’d think that kind of sacrifice would buy him more respect!

He got hit from behind, spare me. It's not like he jumped on a grenade in the trenches of Gallipoli.

Exactly. It is very shameful. An Ex-poster on this site WCW also turned on Trac last year. Shameful really.

Didn’t she just!!! That b!ttch was scathing. 😅

Difference is, she never liked Tracc BEFORE his injury. After his injury she got to talk with him at length and realised the impact of the trauma and how it had monumentally changed him… for the better. He declared his loyalty to the club and (with tears in his eyes) said (quote) I [censored] love these boys, I don’t wanna be anywhere else.

Whilst what I'm saying is more of a general statement and not specifically related to Petracca, surely as a community, we've moved past this naivety. The AFL does not have a landscape where players talk candidly about player movement (cf. most other sports, including the NRL/NBA/NFL/F1 etc).

Specifically on Petracca, I'm not saying he'll be at the club, or won't be at the club next year, but at this stage the only reason he played with us this year is because a trade was unable to be facilitated last year. I think it's somewhat petulant or naive to put your head in the sand regarding the Petracca situation; this is bubbling away under the surface and I would expect that if a trade can be facilitated, it will be.

He definitely seems checked out in the passion stakes

Agree but if GC are a real option then our chances of getting better value for him increase as they have such a wealth of young talent on their books and incoming that they don’t value the picks as much.

I believe that if we feel we're not receiving fair value for Trac, we then hold him to his contract.

Trac has effectively been the one to 'blink first' as it were by declaring that he's open to an interstate move, which is good for us in regards to our options. We can sit back and see what clubs have to offer.

We're not forcing him out. We'll only contemplate the trade if the price is right.

Media just found out we CHOSE King. Not Buckley.

Media found out King wants to talk to every player before Maggot Media starts the BS.

Media have run out of dunny roll.

So they send out their little creepy anonymous posters, who can't write or speak English.

He can stay or go, but at some point it would be nice to get an update directly from the player rather than by sticking pieces of media leaks together like a jigsaw.

If he let's it fester there will be more articles and more clicks for The Brand.

Yeah thats how I'm reading this as well. Last year was things were obviously driven more by emotion and less considered. This year it sounds like Trac and his camp are much more considered and giving the club more options to explore a trade that would work for him but have better value for the club.

If the trade value isn't good enough for the club then he simply stays on and tries out a new coach with hopefully a refreshed, invigorated playing group.

I actually think we're in a pretty good spot.

We're in a far better position than the poor Doggies last year. What a total disgrace that was.

Cover 400k of tracc's salary every season until 2029?

Play a bloke 1.2 million dollars to play for another team. I don't think so.

I think that most of what I have said this year has proven pretty right about our two best players. But I have been known to put curses on people.

If we paid $400k in the first couple of years then I’d assume we would pay less in the final 2 as I think his contract tapers off then.

Collingwood were able to win a flag while paying Grundy $300k and cap has increased since then.

Bringing in a top 10 draft pick as part of the deal gives us wriggle room. The difference in wages between Langford and Trac would be around $1m a year at the min.

I’d rather drop the money and get the draft capital.

Tracc's contract tapers down from the current annual salary of $1.7 million to $1.2 million and doesn't go below $1.2 million a season.

Jesus Christ stop with the AI garbage. You’re a Melbourne supporter, you already know all of this

I gather you are not a fan of AI. That's the problem – we all think we know everything. Have you ever considered a different on-field role for Tracc? Probably not. I hadn't either until I started thinking about it. I just like to explore different ideas, and AI can assist in that.

Plus Treloar $300k for the past five years. And this was before the salary cap increase!

Cal Twomey confirmed that next year's one-year deal with the Dogs is the first year Collingwood are off the hook for Treloar.

Would still be $1.3m off the books next year.

Petracca not at his best and still rebuilding confidence off the back of injury, and wanting to leave finishes 2nd in B&F. Kossie missed 3 games, so maybe Trac ends 3rd.

Options 1:

Another season body starting from better position and new coach/environment with King and Hopefully Petracca has an even better year. Then consider trading him if he wants to leave!

2:

Vs trade now at lower value in a weak draft!

Personally I’m keeping him in 2026 and trying to increase his value and get a pick in a stronger draft!

No one’s saying it’s Gallipoli, but the bloke still almost lost his life in the jumper. That deserves a bit more credit than a shrug.
Doesn’t matter how it happened — ruptured internal organs and nearly bleeding out isn’t exactly a bruise and a band-aid. Downplaying it is just disrespectful.

His value doesn’t go up after 30

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
