Surely the Saints have a spare 3m a year for Trac

Marcus Bontopelli, 29 premiership in 16, well documented player behaviour issues after the flag etc yet he stays to be part of the solution, vs Trac in the middle of a huge contract! Who’s the real leader of these 2

The West Australian reporting on trac to freo aswell, I can't see the article but surely if clubs like freo start to enquire that in itself would be entertaining enough too bring LJ back.

I think we are going down the right track. Get some draft currency before Tracc hits 30. Players can go to 34/35 plus these days.

Get some young talent in to complement our experienced players before we completely bottom.

The GC lifestyle will be attractive to Mr and Mrs Tracc and their draft hand will be attractive to the MFC.

We need an early/mid top 10 pick plus an early future at the least.

hayden young is more valuable than Trac.

Unless he pushes for a move, and he has never given any indication he is unsettled, Freo will never trade him.

There have been persistent rumours around jackson so he might be a possibility.

In a state of serious post-victory euphoria (might’ve been Brisbane or Sydney) I suggested on this forum that Trac looked the likely next captain and Kolt could be considered for vice captain…

You should really just start calling him the Bont.

As to leadership, the dogs lost an absolute gem in Dunkley because of the issues. And I know of a high profile player who was all but signed up with the Dogs until the leadership group took him out. He signed with Hawthorn. Leadership is not sticking around a [censored] culture long term.

Hold my beer Disco. I predicted pre-season that we'd win the next two flags 😂

Again, who cares where he goes. The only reason to lose a guy I like him is to reset in order to do that we need to get something worthwhile.

If the club lets him go for a poor deal to get his wishes , then he’s taking us for a ride

I agree we should be looking at guys like Flanders or Soligo. Adelaide shouldn’t let a Soligo go but we know how desperate they are which could work in our favour.

Looking at it now, in the last few seasons, we had a serious opportunity to reset and trade him, Oliver and Petty to get ourselves some currency in very good drafts. (Caddy, Curtin were both available in those drafts)

Instead, we went all in on Goodwin who now admits, he was unable to motivate us.

I’m sure he regrets it as well, because he was judged on winning rather than on a rebuild

What a missed opportunity. There is seriously no upside to our off-season this year and I don’t see how it gets any better.
