Anyone who isn’t here at Gosch’s yet but was planning on coming, maybe don’t bother. They’ve been out here for a while and the session is still only 30 minutes in length.

Good to see Jai out here. He and Maysie are exercising with Keith the physio. Got a thumbs up and a big smile from Jai, he’s in great spirits.

Luker, Marty, Kolt, Melk and Judd training away from the main group. All looking good.

The rest of the boys are playing soccer. Red vs White. I’m tipping white to win because Clarrie’s in that team

Keith the physio says Maysie’s out for a period “yet to be determined.” He said it’s not as serious as Maxy’s larynx injury. I asked if the culprit’s initials are TOM CAMPBELL. 😂

I said to Keith it’s not good to have Maysie out but it shows the boys are going in hard. He replied, “Yes! They certainly are, and we love it. We absolutely love it.”

It’s a WHITEwash thus far.

Game over. I wasn’t keeping score but White are the clear winners.

Goal kicking practice now.

The rehab group only.

'Clear winners' suggests quite a few goals? Hope that continues into the weekend...

Two separate groups running/walking around the boundary. Bowsa says it’s a heart-rate test.

Well, I clearly have nfi because it turns out it was a 2-all draw. I only saw the White team’s celebrations which were way more conspicuous than those of the Red team. Clarrie says the White team would’ve won if his teammate hadn’t missed an easy one. He didn’t name which teammate that was.

Light recovery session as reported by Ghosty.

Absent: Spargo, Brown, Windsor, Campbell

Rehabbing: Culley and May running gently together - separate group of Melksham, Tholstrup, Kentfield, McVee and Hore

All in good spirits - training at Casey later in the week with Captain's run back at Gosch's on Saturday at 10 am.

Walking down Walsh St, opposite side of the Yarra from the Paddock, I could hear the boisterousness of the MFC players.

Beautiful Autumn day here.

Arrived as they did some runs. The players out there, ran well. Looks like we got through the game physically well.

Goal kicking looked accurate. Before they started, Williams gave them the run down of what he expects. Ended with many having snaps from the boundary. Bowey has beautiful control.

There were four of them not kicking goals, but passing between each other, Howes, Sestan, Laurie and Woey.

Melky has slimmed down quite a bit (very top light), cannot be far off.

Spargo not being here is concerning, if he played the practice match for Casey, wouldn't he be in the recovery session? (Unless he has his own program)

Training at Casey tomorrow morning and Friday morning, the serious stuff. Not a sch’tt nor a giggle to be seen.

Were you still there on Saturday after it finished?

I walked in as everyone vanished so I decided to do a bit of my own exercise on the oval instead :)

Sounds like a match day thread post

Marty’s been told he’s in the Casey side this week 🥳 He’s rapt. His last hand injury took forever to heal. This time the healing is ahead of the expected time.

The Bison wasn’t happy with his game on Sunday. He said he’s looking forward to “getting a run” next time he plays which I took to mean he hopes to start or at least be brought on earlier. While he wasn’t happy with his game, his confidence hasn’t taken a blow at all. He knows he’s got a lot more to show us (but not the same as what Sam Lalor unintentionally showed everyone when celebrating his first goal (Google it) 🤭

Yep, I was still there (I’m usually last to leave 😁) but I didn’t see anyone on the oval. We could’ve had a kick-to-kick sesh, Layz! 😃

Should have had the president come down.

There will always be time for one more mention that he tried out with Manchester United.

I’m glad he is aware of it. It was only a quarter and a bit so somewhat understandable.

Thanks Ghostwriter, Kev Martin, Harvey Wallbanger and all posters and special comments. Light run Tuesday, great to see everyone fit and healthy apart from AJ (suspension) and the Duke with that foot issue flaring up again, I hope they get that infection under control asap a fit Windsor is  key to our future success and I want to see Langford play a full game this week.👍😁

5 disposals for 20% game time was not too bad

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
