Jai certainly appears to play taller than his height.

Could he become a deep marking forward like Frittata, and or a big mid?

Appears to have footy smarts

Given hes 6'4... do you see him as a 7 footer ??

That notion of a big mid had crossed my mind.

That was the 'model' the pundits had in mind for Jackson. Not a ruck per se...but big mobile utility.

He has a bit to learn still. He looks very keen.

Another preseason... could be a very interesting and promising year ahead for Jai.

He's enjoyable to watch.

Pleasingly younger than I actually thought he was, he'll be turning 23 just before the start of the 2026 season. Definitely should get an extension with us. Unfathomable that WCE let him go.

These are the shrewd bits of business we have to conduct to work our way back into finals contention.

We have to get creative and think outside the box atm.

We just don't have world class facilities or wadds off cash to offer prospective recruits.

Look at the state leagues in particularly the SANFL Billy Cootee midfielder and a couple of dashing half back/back pocket types floating around at Norwood worth a good hard look at.

Set to sign a multi year deal according to the Midweek tackle on Fox Footy.

Jai has signed on until the end of 2028!

This is great, he's settled in so well into the team. Well and truly taken his opportunity.

Great news!

Great signing for the Dees, well done MFC and Jai Culley.

I reckon he’s a high half forward. Quick, powerful, unreal in the air. If he rotates between there and the wing he has the potential to be a mason wood type headache for opposition given virtually all of his opponents are going to be a mismatch either in the air or on the ground.

Agree with this.

One of the reasons he looks dangerous forward is because he often drifts forward from a wing, where he brings his wing opponent back with him: they can't compete in the air like a medium defender would.

His ability to rotate through that makes him a really difficult match up.

i know that daniel hoyne compared langford to the puddy tatts' ollie dempsey, but culley reminds me more of him in his style of play

and the headband, obvs

I just love watching him every time he plays now. He's got this extra bit of reach or flexibility factor that few others have, it's hard to explain I just like it.

Only going to get better.
