I don't suppose Kolt's 10-12 weeks out counts as a LTI? (cue Boy George). I suspect the injury needs to occur during the season proper?

And what constitutes 'long term'?

Searched 'Demons, tank' on Deepseek and got no results!

‘Demons tank in Tiananmen Square exhibition match’

The heavily favoured Dee’s wore their red away strip in their recent AFL exhibition match in Bejing, and rolled over the Bombers who were very static and constantly argued with officials. The flattened Bombers have recanted AFL and there will not be a rematch.

Yeah that’s Culley

FWIW I was surprised that the Eagles cut him considering where they’re at in their list build

Got a Rising Star nomination and looked like he was developing into a player before he got hit with an ACL

Wouldn’t be against trying to squeeze him onto the senior list depending on how things shake out this year

After I saw his name on here the other day I stumbled upon an article maybe from the West Australian newspaper on Facebook which had maybe 4 or 5 WC supporters comments lamenting Culley's delisting.

So who was the player with no name?
Edit : I meant no number but no name makes him sound way more interesting 🤣

No number, about the same size as Fritta, sticky hands, white zinc over his nose and Veeery impressive! Anyone got any ideas who he might be??

No I think they could put him on the LTI now, which they could also do with Luker if they plan to go ultra conservative given it sounded pretty severe!

From my understanding the supplemental signing period ends Feb 21.

This was quite difficult to work out so there are a few missing. There were a few players who I couldn't see from the footage and a few top ups that I don't recognise.

Blue team:

B: Bowie,  Adams

HB: Billings, TMac, Lindsay

C :  Sharp, Oliver, Langdon

HF: Laurie  Pickett, McAdams

F:  Fritsch, JVR,  Melksham

R: Gawn, Langford, Sestan

White team:

B: Howes, May, Lever

HB: Windsor, Petty, Salem

C : Brown, Viney, Woewodin

HF: Mentha,

F: Jefferson, Johnson, George

R: Campbell, Rivers, Culley

Dancing with your sister kind of stuff this time of the year.

Every club will have footage where they'll show the good stuff and the not so good stuff.

Take it with a grain of salt, let's wait for the real stuff.

Ps. Langford looks bloody good though..... 🔫

I think dancing with your sister is kinda weird.

just saying 🙄

Fair bit of Jefferson propaganda in here for you @picket fence

In the opening moments of the contest, young forward Matt Jefferson put his hand up as a player to watch, taking a contested mark and kicking the first goal of the session.

It wasn’t long before the 20-year-old was once again amongst the action, darting through forward 50 traffic and slotting another score.

In the second term, Jefferson continued to keep the goals coming for the white team. Thanks to the work of teammate Kynan Brown, who dodged through congestion to deliver the perfect kick, Jefferson was able to seal the six points from the goal square.

Yes I only had him down for 2 but I missed the first minute or so of match sim! If this is correct he must be very close to playing Round 1 based on this report and what I witnessed in match sims. 3 goals 2 including a hit the post and strong grabs and dishoffs resulting in goals should almost guarantee a spof you would think!?.😇😎

One thing else I noticed was three People who were watching inside the ground on deck chairs, they didn’t see me but I saw them as previously they were OUTSIDE the ground looking in. Hnmm one I have seen before with Ghostwriter, so would love to know HOW they got in as I still can’t get access into the ground which I HATE!

You’ll be pleased to know that training at Casey on Friday the 14th of February is an open session. Start time to be announced this Tuesday. All the usual activations (despite kids being back at school) but sadly no sausage sizzle. Since I get to watch training, I might pull up a deck-chair next to you PF!

Supporters seem to expect that match simulation will be the same quality as two AFL best 22 teams going head to head when in fact it's between some AFL calibre players and at least half the list who are depth, not quite good enough, or junior players learning what AFL footy is all about.

They're also judging 30 minutes to an hour, or so, of match sim condensed into 6 minutes of video.

It beggars belief the conclusions they're capable of drawing.

Btw, what teams aren't making mistakes at this time of year ?

not to mention that both teams know the game plan, so they know where the ball is going.  Hence why it looks like bad kicking to contests, but the fact is everyone knows it's going there.

Yep. But the players don’t know about it 🤭

Would they have put Bellanie in a Melbourne guernsey on team photo day if his heart is somewhere else? Methinks not 😁

Some of the children of the players were in guernseys but not all, so clearly it was optional.

Along with Ardu’s sister (who’s also her best friend) living close by in Melbourne, Kozzie’s sister has moved to Melbourne too.

And wouldn’t that mean Kolt won’t be able to play for six months? This is what I heard at training.

Kozzie has been thinking about a move for a while now GW, and he has informed the club he wants to go. The only hope is if he changes his mind. Koz loves the club and that has kept him here.

I hope you are right GW and that the noise coming out of the Freo camp is just another ploy. Still awhile away so no point stressing i suppose.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

  • CASEY: Williamstown

The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day. Yze kicked his second on the quarter time siren, by which time the Demons were already in control. The youngster repeated the dose in the second term as the Seagulls were reduced to mere

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Collingwood

Narrm time isn’t a standard concept—it’s the time within the traditional lands of Narrm, the Woiwurrung name for Melbourne. Indigenous Round runs for rounds 3 and 4 and is a powerful platform to recognise the contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in sport, community, and Australian culture. This week, suburban footy returns to the infamous Victoria Park as the mighty Narrm take on the Collingwood Magpies at 1:05pm Narrm time, Sunday 31 August. Come along if you can.

  • AFLW REPORT: St. Kilda

The Dees demolished the Saints in a comprehensive 74-pointshellacking.  We filled our boots with percentage — now a whopping 520.7% — and sit atop the AFLW ladder. Melbourne’s game plan is on fire, and the competition is officially on notice.

  • REPORT: Collingwood

It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
