That's a cop out. How about he doesn't go to court to get my protected details and he doesn't contact me in the first place.

I am going to be seeking advice of my own today

Just unbelievable that my details have been handed to this random.

I'm sure you will.

Did you read what I wrote about how the perception of our club is damaging it?

Do you not think it is the responsibility of the board and management team to control the brand narrative of our club?

Let's go back to the start, reported that Trac wants out, maybe true and if so he needs to explain the reasons why, then it was a media dump on the club by the media just throwing the culture of the club at every turn in their reporting, perception of the club is not fact that the club is mismanaged alleged by posters here, let's face it no matter how many times Pert or the President comes out to defend the club the media are not going to change its attitude, until Trac comes out and says something it's not affecting my life and never will.

We all understand how difficult getting this project off the ground is, and the failure on the home base is a legacy of decades of poor governance. This is certainly not all on our current board.

But if they got their [censored] together and sent out periodic updates, then they would resolve a lot of the angst. Members want to be informed. I shouldn't have to come on Demonland to read second hand info that the project is moving along.

Whether positive or negative, keeping the members informed, instead of sending me emails with half truths about yet another unnecessary lawsuit outcome, would be far more appreciated.

Our members are constantly being treated like fools by this administration. After years of being the laughing stock of the competition, we have returned back to our rightful place, and that is despite being one of the best performing clubs on field over the last 4 seasons!

There would be confidential agreements over the ground situation in place do you want the club to break those, and how is this issue affecting you, the club has two grounds, gyms, pools, weights etc won a flag with them, just an overblown issue by people.

But it's affecting the bottom line of our club. It's affecting our ability to attract players, sponsors, members. It is completely naive to think that the ongoing negative perception of our club, be it by the media, fans, or other players, is not damaging to our club!

The Trac issue is just one of many issues that have been a constant source of contention. While I will say again, that our issues are not unique, what is unique is the way that our club is so unable to contain the issues in house, and limit the damaging narrative that is out there about said issues.

For our president to go on radio today and say she has not spoken to Trac or his family, is absolutely astounding. I don't need the board to get involved in list management, but people management is absolutely 100% their job. Not being in contact with one of our biggest stars who is incredibly unhappy, is just laziness.

Affecting the bottom line think you are drawing a big bow on that, so sponsors have have said no to next year have they? So what issues have been leaked by the club can you name them, I have my own theory about Trac but will leave it there.

Do you know how sponsorships are being impacted?

We haven't been able to reach the same membership numbers again this year.

We have missed out on several players who do not want to come to our club because of the perception that it's a mess.

That is all part of the bottom line.

Several issues have been leaked to the media, whether from inside the club or not, including private information relating to Clarry, Smith, the issues with the board, the issues between our ex doctor and the club, the issues relating to Trac, rumours about Goodwin etc etc.

Whether those leaks are coming directly from the club or not is irrelevant. What matters is that people with a powerful voice are finding out about those things from people are close to the issues, and running with them, and our club is letting it happen.

I am not going to keep arguing with you, as clearly you think the board is blameless. Good luck to you.

That's just speculation you are pushing for your own views the leaks are not coming from the club but outside people who have agenda, I will say this again because it seems people just want to listen to their own views on the boards if there is proof of mismanagement by the board then yes there should be a review until then I don’t believe in gossip and innuendo.

What is the harm in reviewing performance and operations?

Thats Richo’s job, and Pert’s job and they then report to the board.

An external review is not some magic spell where a kindly football wizard comes in and says “you need to do x, y and z” and then you do that and you win a flag next year.

An external review involves a whole bunch of meetings (which takes time away from doing actual work the footy department should be doing between now and November) and then they go away and then they put together a PowerPoint (based on previously prepared template) and you get the PowerPoint and an invoice for $100k and they disappear and the same people (Pert, Richie, Board) make the actual decisions and are actually accountable and the consultants are off drinking cocktails and never have to worry about whether anything in the PowerPoint makes any difference to anything.

Its useful if a) the board want to make certain decisions but want to shift the blame to the consultants or b) the people internally have NFI what to do in which case they’re better off just getting out of the way and letting someone else do it.

Well sure but they’re in charge..

My point was more that if they don’t trust themselves to make the decisions they should go, no indications so far that they don’t.

Whether demonlanders want an external review right now or not is a bit irrelevant because it’s not up to us.

The Deemocracy website is at least one avenue to push for an external review, whether you're a fan of Peter Lawrence or not.

It’s probably just me (it usually is), but this topic is giving me flashes of the old Demonology site, particularly concerning events (a ‘hostile’ takeover, or attempted takeover; I can’t recall if it was successful) that pretty much led to that site’s demise.

That’s not to say that Demonland is under threat, but just that the tone of certain posts directed at the board is somehow similar.

What issues with the board, there is only two  Lawrence, which was held in a public court. The other we can't talk about but they bleat to the press not the Club

The doctor talked to the press not the Club.

Which players did we miss out on?

Rumours about Goodwin, correct rumours

The membership numbers are in the same ball park, according to you they have dropped, wrong.

They are not a powerful voice, it is the media, click baiters extroadinaire.

what are you going on about?

the reasons have been listed already in this thread. what facts do you want exactly.

one example. the board promised a new home base. they did not deliver. and it doesn't matter whether you think that is an important issue or not. It's their metric. at what point do you think they need to be held accountable on this point?

Are you speaking from experience in creating a Greenfield project, I have the experience, it is like drawing teeth, it is not completed in weeks or maybe months.

Do you want an update.....it is progressing
