Not sure Yze will survive another wooden spoon season unless their board are honest about where they are at.  Max of 2 wins next year for the Tigers and maybe the year after. They haven't hit bottom yet

Their supporters are very understanding of where they are at. It's best to bottom out now and collect a draft bounty. Wait too long, and Tassie will ruin your chances of a rebuild.

This is the best possible time to bottom out.

that’s what we thought in 2011. 😋

good that their fans are on board but no way a coach can survive 3-4 years of being bottom. The next coach will take advantage of his good work

Owies would be a fair trade for Doedee in Portuguese.

Yes, Dees will help the Saints and take a future 4th round as trade.  Rather than dilute Saints free agent compo.  We are a nice club

I hope you are joking, norm.  That should give us a better hand at trade if they want to keep the compo undiluted, maybe even a second rounder, for example, or he can go UFA and impact their compo pick……

if they get him as a delisted free agent does that dilute their compensation for battle?

Yes.

Rioli for picks 6 and 20.

When the Tiges were flying he struck me as about tenth in their best 22.

Suns have so much draft capital it's scary

That is serious overs for mine.

A month ago this guy expressed frustration and eye rolled at questions about leaving, saying he was absolutely staying at WCE. Geez, would be nice of players to not blatantly lie about these things more often

No way he goes close to that

if pick 6 is involved, the Tigers will need to send pick 19 back the other way i reckon

Just to be clear, the AFL stewards would not let JJ onto the field for the GF as Harmes' 'cramp' was not considered to be an injury

However May had a hamstring tear so could and should have come off the ground once we were well in front

True, but no way would May have gone off. Harmes offered but was not allowed. Was a selfless act by Harmsey.

  • CASEY: Essendon

Casey’s unbeaten run was extended for at least another fortnight after the Demons overran a persistent Essendon line up by 29 points at ETU Stadium in Port Melbourne last night. After conceding the first goal of the evening, Casey went on a scoring spree from about ten minutes in, with five unanswered majors with its fleet of midsized runners headed by the much improved Paddy Cross who kicked two in quick succession and livewire Ricky Mentha who also kicked an early goal. Leading the charge was recruit of the year, Riley Bonner while Bailey Laurie continued his impressive vein of form. With Tom Campbell missing from the lineup, Will Verrall stepped up to the plate demonstrating his improvement under the veteran ruckman’s tutelage. The Demons were looking comfortable for much of the second quarter and held a 25-point lead until the Bombers struck back with two goals in the shadows of half time. On the other side of the main break their revival continued with first three goals of the half. Harry Sharp, who had been quiet scrambled in the Demons’ first score of the third term to bring the margin back to a single point at the 17 minute mark and the game became an arm-wrestle for the remainder of the quarter and into the final moments of the last.
