Seems to me Trac now seems to believe he,'s too big for to the Melbourne Football Club.

I don’t read books but I think I will start once these players and coaches release autobiography’s. Strange times.

I have very mixed feelings about this situation. Part of me wants to see him stay and play out his career with us and part of me wants to us get as much as possible for him and have players that actually want to play for the club.

Does Gary pert live in Noosa?

If he does he’s racking up a heap of frequent flyers. He’s at training three times a week and at every match.

So basically, our poor communication has led to everyone spitting the dummy, Trac and teammates.
Whoever is responsible for that needs to have their head on the chopping block. How could you let [censored] fester to the point where it explodes and you have a player of Trac’s quality wanting out?

But as the panel says, the likelihood that any team has anything even remotely worthy to give us in a trade for Trac, especially a team he wants to play for, are close to 0.

Looks like a long summer of building bridges and mending broken egos.

This aint adding up for mine, even Leigh Matthews was surprised!

Morris clearly has direct contact to either Trac or his team. I hate that smarmy misogynist, and there’s probably more to it, but the fact that he chose to discuss what appears to be very fixable problems, is interesting.

Sounds like Trac and his team have realized there’s no chance a trade will happen, so they’re softening their positioning as to, in Morris’ words, not walk back with tail between the legs.

This is all starting to resemble a slow motion train wreck! Was the all very obvious, inclusive camaraderie and celebrations after our great win up at the Suns aimed as much at Petracca as the footy public and media? Just wish Christian would tell the public what his issues are with the club. All we know is he is disgruntled with the direction of the club but not the coach?

Let's do an experiment - please post a reply here the next time you see him in Melbourne

Unbelievable if true that he would be so alienated by this and want to leave, surely would need to be more serious than this

Bet Trac wants to play for the Filth…

Isn’t it a shame that the filth traded their first round pick for Shultz 😁😁😁

Pies could never get a trade done, unless they’re willing to trade Nick Daicos.

Would explain why he’s always helping them off the deck, giving them bum taps & laughing with them post match. Even that scum maynard.

Essendon could get it done I reckon. They have their 2024/5 first rounders and a surplus of mids

Are they big enough a club or does the Marvel stadium home ground bring them down a notch?

Sounds like the players who were cracking the [censored] at Petracca for going to Noosa owe him an apology. No wonder he's annoyed.

Club needs to bend over backwards to sort this out. Everything around that KB injury has been nothing short of a disaster.

I think the only Melbourne team in contention that could obtain the currency for Trac is the dogs.

Naughton would absolutely be of interest to us and potentially surplus to their needs. They will also have decent compensation coming back for losing Smith.

Trac and bont in the same midfield would be scary good too.

Even if there were some crossed wires between players and Petracca as to why he was recuperating in Noosa and wasn't in Melbourne with his teammates, surely this could be easily rectified? And as a leader of the club, if he felt the message wasn't getting through and he was worried about it, couldn't he clarify it? The players have ample ways of communicating these days - phone calls, SMS, email, WhatsApp, messenger etc. It ain't hard.

No, I won’t do that because there’s no need for it. I see him twice a week at Gosch’s… the flush run on a Monday (sometimes Tuesday) and the captain’s run on GameDay eve. I can’t get to Casey for the midweek sessions but my friend does and she sees Perty among other admins there.

i don’t know what you’re getting at but I hope you’re not implying I’m a liar.

So wait hang on, either Morris had worded this poorly, or if it’s accurate this is absurd:

- Players were frustrated that Tracc went to Noosa and wasn’t at the club.

- They didn’t know the full reasons why he went to Noosa.

- And when it was explained to them, they then understood.

Tracc was in ICU 2 months ago and could have died… he’s been in Noosa for what, a month? A few weeks?

So a few weeks after ALMOST DYING, he goes to Noosa… and other players are frustrated and can’t understand why he wasn’t at the club?

They couldn’t figure out any reasons why Tracc wasn’t coming to work after what happened 2 months ago?

What?

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
