The sooner he realises this, the quicker he can make amends. He needs  to get to work over the summer and show up tıp tıp for round 1. Same goes for Oliver, Petty & McAdam. These guys had horrendous pre seasons (some through no fault of their own) and owe us a lift in 2025. 
 

If Trac can’t see beyond his own ego and demands a trade, then he’ll go where it best serves the club. 
 

No one person is bigger than the club. We all want team success. 

It boggles the mind to think that Petracca had the whole supporter base and a legacy with the club on he palm of his hand, now it feels like he's throwing it all away.

I never in a million years expected this, probably I thought Clarry could be the one to whom this could happen but not Petracca.

Those are my personal contention points regarding Petracca.

Why let it boil more than it has already?

Add to that all the media noise. I think it’s safe to say that whilst  there is definitely some mayo on it, it has turned out to be true.

Maybe Gus could talk some sense into him. 

But I'm sure many conversations are going on behind the scenes

The inside mail from posters have started filtering in which wasn’t happening earlier in the week. Some of the messages I’ve got from who I’d consider reliable sources is pretty damning on where his priorities lie.

Since how it’s not in the media I won’t post as it’s against the site’s rules, but Stevienic23 on the postgame thread did a pretty good job on the broad strokes.

Papley was hellbent on leaving the Swans and that situation turned around as he was on a multi year contract.

Trac also has a great multi year contract. Hopefully Max, the leadership team and Goodwin can turn things around with Trac if he is really disgruntled.

The injury on KB seemed poorly handled, hopefully the club can review its protocols and address any lingering issue on that front. 
 

Clearing out any players not committed to achieving the high performance required to give us a shot at another flag in the not too distant future is also mandatory.

Actually Id already heard and posted the same. Im not sure about the big crowds aspect, but I do know that his family were shocked about the club posting that he could be back in 6-8 weeks while he was getting a life saving blood transfusion.

If as implied the statement was put out before the docs actually knew what was wrong at the hospital (or had yet to convey the bad news to the MFC, which would hardly be a priority for the hospital) then the family needed to have a rethink when they are less emotional.     They must by now know that at the ground the seriousness of the injury was unknown, nor did they get it right initially at the hospital?

Yeah im not justifying it saying its reasonable or unreasonable but the word was that what started it all. 

Although the overall injury and recovery is similar to a car accident level.

Didn’t the AFL also mandate that clubs must list time frames on injury lists this season? 
I think the club did what they thought was right based on the information they had at the time. 
 

Trac is not the first or last player to return to play with a serious injury, nor the first or last player who was listed wrongly on an injury list. 
To blow your whole relationship with the club that made you who you are over that, seems a tad dramatic.

Besides, I don’t think door-stopping was possible. The players were together at all times. We hung out with them at the airport last night, they all arrived together and stayed together… not a reporter in sight.

But had Trac been with them, there might well have been reporters. It's hard to control.

It’s far more likely to have been a straw breaking the camel’s back, or a further example of an underlying issue (eg his views on injury management, fitness and conditioning, player comms, public relations, etc).

That’s what I think too. 
I can’t imagine this statement is what started it all.

I doubt Tracc’s presence would mean the difference between customary number of reporters, and so many door-stoppers that it’s a problem.

And had he been there and reporters turned up in droves, by the same token the Club would’ve taken stronger measures to ensure a wide berth between him and the media.

Bottom line imho … if it meant anything to him, he would’ve been there.

Surely you wouldn't blame the whole club. You may demand explanations on why it was handled that way, and whoever is accountable for that should apologise.

I read that his real reason is him wanting to go to a bigger club to increase his profile for life after footy. Not sure how true that is, but makes sense. He is heavily into self promotion. Warming to the idea of him going as long as we get a bunch of high draft picks.

Here I was thinking it was to do with  indiscretions that have happened over the last 22 months or our inability to have a functioning gameplan fwd of centre.

But the mail is an inaccurate media release. Thanks to those who share what they know, but to me this is nothing more than a ruse.
